Long time coming (because we are REGULARS) so bear with me. This is regarding the SERVICE ONLY and specifically with the older Asian waitress. She’s ALWAYS in a rush no matter what time or day you go. She doesn’t let you finish your sentences before she starts running away. And because she runs away, she makes the ordering process longer because we can only ask her for ONE thing at a time. BECAUSE SHE RUN AWAY & DOESN'T LET YOU FINISH ORDERING . Saturday we went & inside was 3-4 families already, felt very stuffy as though there was no oxygen circulating. I figured they didn’t have the AC on so we decided to sit outside because it was hard for me to breathe inside. I asked the male waiter if it’s ok to sit outside, and he said yes of course anywhere you like. After the 2nd time coming to our table, the Asian waitress lady stated very frantically that her arms were so tired from pushing the door open/close to come outside to wait on OUR table. I was like okay sorry? Third time around she came MORE FRANTIC, literally running towards us, she shoved the Pepsi cup in front of us and threw the straw saying “it’s so busy, I’m so busy!!! They’re calling me!!! EVERYONE is calling me!!”. And ran off. The Pepsi had spilled everywhere and made a mess. She had brought the food before that but no utensils/straws for the waters. And when I tell you I had no chance to get 2 words in because she threw things on our table and ran off. We sat there staring at our food because we had no utensils, no napkins to clean the table after she threw my Pepsi on the table. (She even saw that she spilled it & made a mess but didn’t even care an ounce). She then no longer came to our table & instead sent the male waiter to take care of us. I have never in my life experienced such bad customer service from someone. How can you in the slightest tell a customer where to sit when your restaurant is super small and not that busy?? Plus we were told to sit wherever we like. How can you be so rude & acting like it’s the end of the world because there’s 8 people dinning there? She literally told us she has no time to breathe or drink water. Like what??? Lady, you’re not working at the Cheesecake Factory. CALM DOWN and stop acting so extra. Very rude and insulting. We come here once, sometimes twice a week almost EVERY week. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be returning here anymore. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. She’s too much and I can’t handle her. I go out to eat because I want to relax with my husband. Not be stressed out by her.Sad to say that the restaurant will lose business because of her. There’s more things I want to say but it’s already an essay so I’ll leave it at that. By the way, the male waiter is...
Read moreFirst off, The Business - Unless you go in person, do not even try to deal with this place. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. They don't check the orders, and they don't seem to run their own website (even though it's under their name and there is no other contact but this restaurant). Long story short, I called and placed my order through them after not getting a confirmation from my online order, and got charged twice even after being told they cancelled one of the charges. Still have not been refunded days later meaning I have a substantial charge to my account, and I'm not exactly dripping with money so this is a big financial blow. For some sushi.
The Food - There is also the fact that they didn't even get my order correct. I asked, multiple times, that they leave out the sesame seed topping because I have a health issue that means they cause me serious problems. When I get home, what do I find sprinkled all over my order? As a result I had forgo eating the parts where I couldn't scrape it off, once again, for a pretty expensive order. Another sushi restaurant complied with this request easily, so Zono, please explain why you couldn't? What if I had been allergic? You can't even check the other in-store because they bundle it too tightly and by the time you get home it's not like I want to drive back and have the whole thing remade. Oh, and the food wasn't mind-blowing; definitely not enough to excuse this hassle. (Thank you for the 3 measly, unappetizing pieces of avocado on the bowl where it is highlighted as a star part of the dish. Whole Foods puts more avocado on their sandwiches.)
Bottom Line - the sushi/food is average at best; I wouldn't mind giving it a recommendation if 1) they didn't have so many issues, 2) their customer service wasn't non-existent, and 3) if there weren't so many other, BETTER sushi place literally within walking distance. Unless you dine-in, just pass on this place. (But even if you're thinking of doing that, know there are cheaper/better places...
Read moreToday I tried to make an order for pick up off of the menu on THEIR site and it turns out those are the old prices from the previous owner.... uhh how am I supposed to know that?the person that answered did not try to help at and asked “do you want it or not?”(really ..ok?.) I asked to speak with someone else and got Rebeca who stated she was the owner told her her situation and that the chicken bowl shows for $6.95 and she said that the menu is old and now the price for that is $12.something(big difference). She did not help at all and said to look at the grubhub menu not the one on the site. I asked then why is it still posted and prices are advertised if it’s not their menu. She insisted on not honoring it because I was looking at the wrong menu!!!!! Horrible customer service and lost me as a customer. Being the “NEW” owner you would want to KEEP customer not lose them......
