Gretchen's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Glendale

Walked into hallmark curious if they do customizations and the older blonde cashier told us they do not. Decided to look around at the valentines and Disney decor section and the woman approached my family again asking if we needed help and we politely declined and said we are just browsing. Then she approached my children almost immediately after asking if they need help. After looking in the Disney section, she continue to watch us to a point it felt uncomfortable to shop. We decided to put the items we wanted to purchase back and leave due to how uncomfortable we felt. I’m not sure why my family was targeted, be prepared to come in here and be asked multiple times if you want help and be watched and circled the entire time you are shopping. I buy ornaments from this Hallmark every year as a gift for family, its a tradition. This year when we opened them, we were shocked to find one empty and missing the ornament. I never would have though to check the boxes I buy to make sure the ornament is actually in the dang box. Not a fun Christmas surprise and its been a month since I bought it so I dont even know what to do now. These ornaments aren't cheap and the keepsakes are hard to replace once the year retires. Hard lesson to learn....

Amy's is a terrific Hallmark store. Everytime I go in, I find the perfect card(s). The rest of the inventory is unique and creatively displayed. Even though I go in to purchase cards, I end up buying something else. The sales staff is amazing! Helpful, but does not hover. Great store!
