Saks OFF 5TH — Local services in Glendale

I shop at this store often and used to have a high review. That is, until our recent experience. My son is in his early 20s and is realizing that he needs to dress in something better than a tee shirt and jeans. He did a lot of research on the type of clothes he was looking for, and knew exactly what he wanted when we came to the store. He asked a man who was working in the men's section where he might find those items. The man talked down to him and told him he'd have better luck at another store! My son was very upset and wanted to leave immediately. The guy made my son feel like he wasn't good enough to shop at this store. Initially I was annoyed, and we left the store to spend our money elsewhere. But it was just now that I looked at their website and saw that Saks DOES happen to sell those items. Who does this man think he is, acting as if my son isn't good enough to shop there, when this employee is an adult man working for minimum wage in an outlet mall??? Please... I think I'm done here. I'm happy to spend my money at other stores. Saks, you just lost a long...

Aside from the lack of customer service I received following my purchase (as well as lack of follow up, twice), when I returned one of the two pairs of shoes, the associate was rude & off putting - I approached & asked if I could return the shoes & she said maybe, she’d try - I understand that not everything is returnable, but her affect the entire time was belittling…then she kept pressing me as to why - although I’d already told her shoes were not even tried on & the color wasn’t what I’d expected. Then she went over then with a fine-toothed comb (again, I understand, but her affect was like she was doing me a favor but also hoping to find a reason to deny the return)…she again pressed me for the reason for my return, making me very uncomfortable. Finally, after handing me the receipt, she said, “we’re done here” - so impolite…I don’t think I’ll ever purchase from Saks again, as the customer service is...

My first time at the outlets and not a bad experience. I went there looking to buy a pair of pants and a shirt for a decent price and I actually walked out of there with a pair of pants and a shirt spending less than a hundred so I think that's a decent price. Although the pants that I wanted work $210 but that's for another day another life in another universe. however if I'd have to pick one con of the store it would have to be there shoe selection, it is definitely lacking in choices. oh and their way that everything is organized in there I couldn't really differentiate where are the women's parts ended and the men's part began and then the children's part ended in this fourth and blah blah blah blah. It was just really really so I just kind of made myself look like I knew what I was doing and went on ahead and took a seat on that awesome couch over...
