Great American Cookies — Restaurant in Glendale

Recently went back after years of not trying any of their products. As a home base for all things chocolate, imagine our disappointment when we tried their hot chocolate and it was only barely comparable to a gas station chocolate beverage. In itself, the idea was great, from water and powder make a quick drink, but as a dealer of all things Nestle, we did expect a little more. Mind you, their baked goods and cold items are really tasty, and the whipped topping/whipped cream was creamy and delicious, but for the price and amount of calories, it was simply not worth it. Still, the place has social distancing regulations in order, providing hand sanitizer after every transaction, closed off seating, and it's really clean in there. The worker was very friendly, with a upsale aura about him, but nothing against him and his work. I will come back for everything expect the hot chocolate, it is served in paper cups and not visually pleasing either. Like I said, everything except for the one item was perfect....

The employees like to charge extra without telling you about it. I ordered an upside down milkshake and the younger male cashier said I could choose ANY pastry, so I chose a peanut butter brownie, and he smiled and nodded and charged me 13.50 for a milk shake that is listed to be less than 8 dollars. I take a look at the receipt and see a "Misc 4.00" charge on my receipt, Which is super shady and I can only assume because I never got an explanation, that it was because i chose the brownie not the cookie. They basically stole my money and had nothing to say about it. Anyways, hope my 4 bucks keeps their business open! The food is average at best, the only advantage they have is that this is the only Nestle location in phoenix. I will NEVER be...

Don't trust this place the manager here lie's and I'll tell you why, I had a bottle of water that I had purchased for my five year old son and we left it on the table for a few minutes inside the store and my son ran outside to play with some machine games like those little riding train or cars, I went back in to get the bottle of water and I believe one of the workers had thrown it away so when I asked the manager what had happened to it he said he didn't know anything about it that they've been there for hours and that was a lie because he had just come in 15 to 20 minutes after an older guy that was working behind the register so don't trust this place make sure you get a receipt...
