Terrible location. I do NOT recommend. I came by to pick up a simple cup sample that was needed to take home and get a sample and was told I needed to have an appointment for that, so I was there 40+ minutes to get a cup. They explained they had to look it up to ensure they gave the right thing and that people had an order in and put a name on it, so that made sense. Fine. I asked of I needed an appointment to drop it off and they said I could make one if I wanted but I didn't need one because it was already labeled and ready to go for testing so they could accept it over the door. Went there the following day to drop off sample and was told by 2 people that that was untrue and you needed an appointment. For what??! They took the sample and temporary placed in fridge after complaining to the second person that sample needed to be refrigerated then said I still had to have an appointment for them to actually take it for processing. So another long wait for an impromptu appointment. So inefficient, unreliable with changing their policies from day to day between staff, and nonsensical (seriously, there's no option to then sign in for a quick drop off if you're going to require that; the person who needs a blood draw is equivalent to them taking an already labeled cup that staff only has to stick in a sample fridge?!). Unacceptable, U of...
Read moreHorrible experience (per usual) at the Grand Ledge Lab! I typically drive 25 minutes (one way) to go to another lab (because of the history of poor service at Grand Ledge) however out of necessity I was forced to go to this lab; never again! The phlebotomist was RUDE; she was short with me and talked very condescending. To add insult to injury, I needed to call my physician’s office to clarify the test that she was requesting and asked this phlebotomist if I could shut the door for privacy; she said “no!” And that “I could go out into the hall” to make the call. Sparrow must be short on available phlebotomists? or maybe no one else besides my husband and I have said anything about this staff? I will be calling the hospital to report her rude behavior towards me; then the ball is in their court. They can decide if they want to have staff like her representing...
Read moreDoctor was nice to my wife and the medication can be picked up right at the pharmacy next door. The wait time when we got there was estimated at 115 -130 minutes, and we asked them to text us 15 minutes before our turn. We left to get a drink and 45 minutes later they messaged us telling us our room was available now, not 15 minutes but now. Pharmacy told my wife her order would be ready in 15 minutes and when I went to pick the medication up they then wanted info that they should have gathered at the beginning....
