I put off posting this review for awhile, but I cannot put off sharing this experience any longer. I wish I shared this as soon as it happened, but I am sharing it now because I cannot let it go. My experience was in June 2021. I made my order and told the girl at the ordering speaker that I have a coupon for a free side that I would like to use. So I pull up and pay for the order with my MSUFCU card because MSUFCU members get a discount, which I confirmed with the girl before she took my card. But when I got my receipt back I noticed that I was charged for my side that I thought was supposed to be free and was confirmed as such. I kindly pointed it out to the girl and told her that I used my free side coupon for this. She tried to brush it off, but I told her that I wouldn't have ordered the side if I had to pay for it; it was supposed to be free. So she brings the manager lady over and she gives me a death stare and angrily tells me that you cannot use a coupon AND your MSUFCU discount and that they NEVER do that. I told her that I've been able to do that here before, which I have, but she only glares at me more and says more angry things. I finally say that it would have been nice to know that beforehand. For the rest of my visit, the girl is really short with me, practically throws the food at me and shuts the window before I can say anything. On top of that, I found when I got home that they didn't even give me the "free" side I ordered and paid for. I did not express any anger whatsoever or try to pick a fight but was treated like I'm the bully here. I am very disappointed by how I was treated by the manager and the lack of clarity on the part of the employees. Customers should be told that they cannot use their bank member discounts AND coupons BEFORE they pay. I have had no problems using coupons AND my MSUFCU discount at other fast food places in the area. I would highly recommend skipping Dairy Queen and going to Culver's. They are cheaper/same price, have better food, and you can use multiple coupons AND your MSUFCU/bank discount on the same order. Also, they are very close to the Grand Ledge area; only a little farther down Saginaw Highway...
Read moreI had a bad experience with this location yesterday. We went to get 2 large sizes of Royal Strawberries Cheese Cake. We used the redeemed to get them, and we did not know that redeemed 500 points could not apply to Royal until they told us. We had not said anything to the staff, and the manager/the owner (I don't know) standing next to her said he could redeem points on Blizzard and charge a little more for Royal (upgraded). We were OK with it, and we paid the total price for 1 Royal Strawberries Cheese Cake and a little more for upgrading Royal with my visa card (through apple pay on the phone). When we got home from the restaurant to eat our ice cream, we realized they did not put any strawberries in our cups. We thought they forgot to add strawberries. Later, I looked and read those reviews from other customers, and I realized the manager/owner did not add strawberries to our cups on purpose. I feel sad as a customer and feel bad for the franchise to let them represent as a partner of Dairy Queen. It seems like they bought the franchise and built their own rules. They do not say, but they show their action. I often go there 2 -3 times weekly and support the local Grand Ledge business. My home is close to Culver's, but I drive further to support them. However, their attitude is terrible. If they do not accept redeemed points, they can tell us immediately. We can pay for our food, and we don't mind it. We can drive extra miles to support them, which means we like their food, and we can pay for our food. Send this message to the owner: In the long term, getting customers is not easy for all businesses; once they have them, the important thing is to keep them longer with the service. If the owner wants to open for a period of time and close the business forever, I do not have any words to...
Read moreThe manager Jody is why I do NOT recommend this establishment/Location. She's is very rude and has zero people skills. I'm not entirely sure how she got that job title in the first place. While taking my order she was huffing sucking her teeth and getting easily frustrated with a simple order I can only imagine what her face looked like through the drive-thru. And when I asked her to repeat the order not once not twice or even three times but FOUR times she snaps at me and says I was rude.. well all I kept asking was how was my sandwich being made and EVERYTIME she would tell me my sandwich wrong my sandwich was not hard to understand it was a simple single Patty cheeseburger deluxe with no onion and she literally went irate at that point we asked for someone else to take our order........ So Grayson gets involved and saved my mood, my order/dinner, and my whole experience so I did stay a customer tonight if I had to rate My experience with Grayson alone it would be a 5 star but I will never go back to deal with Jody EVER again and sadly that's why I must rate this place so low it's because her and her alone this is not the first time I had an issue with this employee but this was the straw because arguing with me at the drive thru while with my son when I literally did nothing but try to place my order is not acceptable nor...
