AutoZone Auto Parts — Local services in Grand Ledge

Not the best hospitality. I walked in, asked if I could drop off a jug of used oil, then the Justin Bieber looking kid behind the counter simply pointed at the counter, never said a word, never welcomed me to the store or said hi or anything. I went to get a couple items to purchase, walked up to the counter and set them there. At this point there were 2 other people behind the counter, one just walked in from outside and he was sitting in a chair kinda staring into space, the other was picking her fingernails. Bieber got up from his chair, rung up my items, said the price, I gave him the money and he gave back change, didnt say how much the change was, just a wad of money, then quickly went back to sit down. Never said thanks for shopping at autozone or anything. As I counted it to make sure it was correct change and put it back into my wallet I kinda looked around at all 3 and they just kinda looked spaced out and didn't want to be there at all. i would leave a 0 star if I could but I HAVE TO GIVE IT A 1. I am so upset! I went in with my check engine light on, got the code read earlier at the same auto zone. Then called my mechanic and did everything he stated to try to fix the code. He then suggested go into auto zone get the code cleared and if it persists come see him. Later tonight I went in to get the code cleared and the MANAGER HERSELF said “we are not allowed to clear codes for customers”. Yet when I got home I called the store and a gentleman answered and I asked “can you guys clear peoples codes?” He said “yes we can”. Staff is SO helpful. I really appreciate how nice they keep the store and the layout makes it easy to find what your looking for. They have a really good return policy's and I have never run into a staff member that doesn't really seem to know their stuff. I did have one time that we ordered a part from them and when it came that part was bad, when we told them they didn't believe us. They took the part back and we got a new one but had we taken their advice it would have cost us a lot more money. I don't blame them but it is a good reminder to trust your gut.
