Update to my original review regarding Panasonic DVD Player DMR-EZ48V (VHS transfer to DVD and flash drive capability), purchased on 2.26.2025. Original review had nothing negative to say regarding the customer service I received during the 2.26.2025 visit. At that time, despite the fact there were several customers in the shop, one of the employees who was helping another customer was aware of my presence and desire to purchase. He was quick to acknowledge me and asked me if I was ready to check out. He immediately asked another employee about their availability in assisting me. He directed me to the other employee who assisted me with checking out.
Although the customer service was pleasant, I wrote the original review to remind others to be more vigilant when purchasing used electrical items. Initially, I was pretty bummed about the Panasonic DVD Player DMR-EZ48Vt I purchased on 2.26.2025. Was told it worked when it was tested. Yes, the machine turned on, however the machine did not consistently play the VHS tapes that I inserted; it also tried eating one of the tapes I put in the machine. The tapes are good tapes and had been playing on my old VHS player that finally decided to die, hence the reason for purchasing a new player.
Additionally, after researching the player by downloading the manual, it became apparent that the newly purchased item was useless without the remote control. Shame on me for not being more diligent in my research prior to dropping $149.99 for a defective piece of equipment sans remote control. At the time of purchase, a demonstration of the working condition of the player was not offered. In hindsight, I should have requested one.
I did return to Cash Connections yesterday afternoon (2.28.2025) to return the VHS/DVD recorder. Again, customer service was top notch. Grant was professional and courteous during his interaction with me. He was very apologetic regarding the defective machine, and the fact that the product was not in working order. He was also sympathetic to the disappointment and inconvenience I experienced. To my satisfaction, we were able to resolve the situation without heated exchange or blame. It is refreshing to experience professional and excellent customer service, and to be treated with respect for time and money spent. I am absolutely over the moon with the exchange. The new VHS player works beautifully. I would also like to give a shout to two other employees I encountered yesterday. Cole and Austin were very courteous during the transaction; both men acknowledged my presence and asked me how my day was going. Read moreI’m currently entering into my 6th month of delayed status on a backround check after a firearm purchase from cash connection. After countless inquires via voicemails and emails to the OSP I was straight up ignored. 2 months into my delay after being totally in the dark as to the cause or status of my delay, I reached out to cash connection in an attempt to establish some kind of communication with OSP. Being under no obligation at all to assist me, seeing how they have nothing to do with this area of the firearm transfer. Not only did they reach out to OSP for me but also faxed the requested documents (after I obtained them of course) to OSP on my behalf in an attempt to expedite my background check. I patiently waited another 3 1/2 months and after continued silence from the OSP I again reached out to cash connection and still being under no obligation to assist me at all, reached out to OSP and was able to actually get a FICS agent to contact me. Without this last inquiry by cash connection its clear to me I would have been on indefinite delay seeing how no progress had been made on my check nor was any attempt by OSP being made to advance it.
