Avila's Barbershop #1 — Local services in Greeley

Now I’m usually not the type to write a negative review on any kind of business and also being that I own my own business, BUT, I feel very disappointed and disrespected by this business and especially when it involves my children‼️but I Would not recommend this Barber Shop to anyone in the Greeley area, I had a bad experience with “popz” I had to reschedule due to my medical issues one day, and I admit I rescheduled 4 hours in advance, but when I went in for my new appointment yesterday @ 4:30 he left my children and I waiting for almost 30mins and never acknowledged us while we were there. I also believe he went to the back and called someone to go in there and say “You know I’m next right” trying to hint me that he wasn’t going to take my son, and then I get a message when I get home that states I was a no show with “Popz” when he CLEARLY knows I was there! Very unprofessional in my opinion, I could have respected the situation more if he just told me “Hey I’m sorry I can’t take your son because you cancelled too late the last time”, okay cool, but just to leave us there like nothing and not even acknowledge us, very petty and immature in my opinion! Never again will I be back! I loved this barber shop when I first moved to Greeley. But they are just very rude and unprofessional! It’s fine though I’m glad, I got to see that side of them, because I don’t want anyone with this kind of energy cutting my son’s hair anyway. 👌🏼...

I wouldn’t encourage someone to get a haircut here even if it was the last barber shop left on earth. Employees have a terrible attitude, especially the one in maroon with tattoos. Messed up my haircut completely and argued with me about fixing it. Stated he, “did all of it for no reason.” And seemed upset I questioned what he thought was a fade. (It’s like he took a 1 and buzzed my head and called it good). He was shown a picture and explained what was wanted and when he showed me the end result I thought he had just started and had more to do. I went to Hugo’s to get it fixed and apparently many people have to go get theirs fixed when they go to this place. There's always a long wait for walk ins on Fridays to the weekend so people are told it's going to be a long wait. Let me repeat that there is a long wait on weekends for /walk ins. Apparently the owner thinks we make appointments just because we walk away for a while instead of waiting in the chairs. He says you can only make appointments online 😐#weknowthat

Don't try explaining to him that you didn't try to make an appointment in person that you just walked in and was told there was gonna be a wait. He thinks that we sign in to come back WAY LATER and that's not true.

Then after not even trying to comprehend what your trying to explain he moves your name to the front of the list so THEN YOUR TOLD THERE'S GOING TO BE A WAIT.AGAIN.
