First off, the attendant that was working was extremely kind and knowledgeable - answered questions with ease and offered information on products while we were walking around. The store set up was beautiful and well maintained.
Unfortunately, a lot of their products were extremely overpriced. I travel around to a lot of different metaphysical stores and this is one of the few that struck me the wrong way. It reminded me of some of the shops in LA that had cold, capitalistic energy. Not only was a lot of the inventory very cookie cutter and more trendy than anything. I looked up a few of the items online to compare prices. There was a 200% increase on the price point. I understand people have to make their money, but that felt disrespectful seeing that the nature of the inventory is typically for spiritual purposes. It’s exhausting to see shops like this everywhere.
There are items within the shop that are reasonably priced. I want to mention that I’m not a cheap person. If I want something, I’ll buy it regardless of what it costs. I just don’t believe in price gouging, especially in the metaphysical space. It’s tasteless and exasperates the issue we’re currently facing in society. We have to do better for our communities by being fair. Hopefully in time, things will change.
Aurora’s seems to be a very successful business, so comments like mine won’t make much of a difference. I leave this comment for others who might be overly excited to step into this place and discover otherwise. I wanted to love this store, but I was disappointed. The three stars is for the amazing service I received, as well as the cleanliness and lay out of the store. The lack of stars is for the pricing and energy of the mass...
Read moreI have always been a fan of auroras apothecary more specifically the green bay location because I live in Green Bay. That all changed this weekend when I met the owner in fish Creek. We were in door county showing my sister around as she had never been there and while shopping in the fish Creek location my opinion changed. The owner was there and demanded to see the ring I was wearing. I was wearing many but soon realized her interest was in one that was a large crystal. I soon realized she believed I was stealing a ring from her shop. The entire situation was strange and uncomfortable and after she got to inspect my ring her demeanor completely changed and she decided to be friendly again. Honestly, I was insulted. She had no reason to believe I was a thief and I was embarrassed to be treated as such in front of my children and my sister. It was very unprofessional and I will not be shopping at any of the auroras anymore. Most of their items are overpriced anyways. I would not recommend since I believe the owner to be of poor character. Her name is...
Read moreI really like this place - such an eclectic shop which is nice here in Green Bay!
I'm super excited about their dried tea leaves and herbs. I've been looking for a spot here in Green Bay and of all places, this might be my go-to spot for tea and herbs! I don't have much taste right now, but my wife LOVED their hibiscus tea. And I don't think I ever heard her say she loved a tea. We bought a bag. Plus, I LOVE how you can bring in your own container to fill and weigh. Going green is always a plus with me!
They have a ton of other great things to explore in the store. If you're into oils, they even have oils and a DIY station. I didn't look into their oils and offerings in that space, so I'm not sure the quality.
HIGHLY recommend. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable...
