Reefco is hands-down the best saltwater aquarium store and tank maintenance service in NJ. They have their own coral farm so you’re getting healthy corals at great prices. Every fish and coral I’ve purchased from Reefco is happy and healthy. Every service visit has exceeded my expectations.

Everyone in the store has the expertise to answer your questions no matter how complex. They have so much experience with maintaining tanks that they only stock items that are proven to work. And because they maintain so many tanks they always have dry goods and frozen food that haven’t been collecting dust for years. To give you an idea of how serious of an operation they are, they have a marine biologist on staff.

I transitioned from a coral, saltwater, and frozen food customer with a nano tank to a full-service tank maintenance customer and I couldn’t be more pleased. They can do huge custom installs but I went with an identical setup to the 60 gallon cube display they have in the store and it looks awesome. They installed the whole set-up with Hydros automation in one day. I included a shot of the tank right after the install so excuse the cloudy water, it settled overnight. They moved over the fish, inverts, and corals I wanted from my old tank to the new tank and it looks amazing. Now when I visit the store I just pick out the corals and fish I like and they add them to the tank when they do our maintenance. They help with the stocking decisions to make sure everything will thrive. All we have to do is add food and enjoy the view.

Now let's talk about when you walk in. 10 stars right of the welcoming. Everyone acknowledges you whereas some reef stores don't even take the time to try and make you feel at home.

These things are most important to most of us. Clean Water quality is a must in this hobby. While it's not a cheap hobby, it sure feels good when the owner even takes the time to ensure that you are being helped.

Lastly,

Coral selection is overwhelming in a great way. I can assure you that you won't be leaving there with just one or two lol.

I drove an hour and 25 minutes to get to Reefco located in NJ. Well worth the drive.

I’ve been waiting to post this review for a month or so now. My tank is finally coming along enough to where I could get some decent photos. Please excuse the glares…

I purchased a 95 gallon Planet Aquarium with a canopy - and all APEX equipment. This is a big upgrade from out 13.5 gallon! I was working with Brian for about a month or so over email ironing out details and questions. Brian was extremely patient, and super helpful on everything. His knowledge goes beyond words.

After coming to an agreement, Reefco came to deliver my new tank, did a full installation, and throughly went over all the equipment to make sure I fully understood how everything operated. They were in and out in roughly 2 hours. The work performed was amazing! Everything went smooth, and all the plumping looks great. I could have NEVER done this by myself.

I opted for bi-weekly cleaning services as well. We have a reef aquarium, so I wanted to make sure that everything stays clean to keep our corals/fish healthy. I like that I don’t have to worry about when they will come, as we’re built into their schedule for the same day of the week every 2 weeks. I can say that this service is def worth it, and I highly recommend it.
