I had been taking my Yorkie for grooming at All Pets Considered for several years. A few years ago, my dog was injured by a groomer and had to be taken to the veterinarian. In retrospect, I fault myself for continuing to take her there. In September 2020, a groomer worked on my dog and from the way she looked it must have been someone in training. I called the salon and spoke with the manager who agreed to personally groom her at half off. (I really rather pay full price and receive a professional and safe groom). On December 14, 2020, when I took my dog for her next groom, as promised she was groomed by the manager whom I had spoken with in September. When I arrived at the salon, my dog was brought out to me (curbside), handed to me and quickly told, “your dog was cut and was bleeding but we put peroxide on it and put pressure on it until it stopped “. I was horrified. The groomer who worked on her should have brought her out or called me! These people are quick to ask if you would like to leave a tip as well. I took my dog home and upon examining her decided to take her to the veterinarian. I wanted to make sure she didn’t need to have the wound closed. Fast forward to today, January 19, 2021, I noticed that the wound had not completely healed. I decided to let them know at the salon. Well of course, you get all varieties of excuses. This annoyed me. Since I was there last the salon manager was let go. When my dog was injured again I decided it would be the last time I take her there. Alison, the manager that I spoke with suggested that I take my dog to my veterinarian to be groomed because she is 12 years old and ill. My opinion is she should not based on what happened there ever suggest where I take my animal. I decided to write this review, as I should have earlier in order to keep pet owners informed...later is...
Read moreThis is for the groomer and not the store!!! We had a 12:30 appointment for our pet grooming but never heard back for when she was done so I left work early and arrived at there location off of Cone Boulevard at 4:45 p.m. I walked in and there was no one at the reception desk and as I looked to the left through the smoked glass which conceals part of the grooming area I saw that they had just started grooming my pet. Curious to see how well my cat was doing I watched as the young groomer worked fast and efficiently however an older woman who was assisting was the complete opposite. She was holding my cat down bye the neck and was telling my cat "hold still you little sh!" I know cats can be difficult but mine is a little bit older and is a talker so imagine my shock as I watched his treatment. Finally a young lady came around to the front desk and greeted me in which I immediately pointed out that our appointment was for 12:30 and that we did not receive a call and that I just witnessed the rough handling of my cat during his groom. She apologized and offered nothing and did nothing!!
I do not recommend taking your pet there for grooming unless you are prepared to have a traumatized animal being returned to you!
UPDATE: I appreciate the owner reaching out to my review (all be it several months after my post). The reservation was under my wife's name which is why using my initials you wouldn't find anything. Also, to be fair, I am looking back for the recipient so that I can provide that information to you. It was my mistake to not say anything in the moment; lesson learned. I do appreciate the owner reaching out and I will contact you when I find the receipt. It was not the groomer but rather the person assisting her that I found to be...
Read more1st time and last time I'll be at this store. So upset like I said first time going had heard about this store awhile and my one day to be step daughter is a huge dog fan and we went out of our way to visit this location we shopped around only one person the ENTIRE time we were there asked if needed anything and there was 3 on duty I saw around desk whole time....but that's not the issue picked up a top entry litter box and took it up to the desk to get later so I didn't have to carry when I went to get it the cashier rang it up and it rang up wrong price the cashier said something to one of them they walked back there and their was one in another stack which I told them there was one more back there they came back told me it was not right price that's not my fault I didn't price it that was $40? the one I had was $30 and nothing was wrong w tag ...it was way they were acting about it that really hurt my feelings. Like I said the the last time I go back lost customer for $10. I have worked in a major retailer for 20 yrs and worked for everything I have since I was 16 what upset me most is I had my autistic son with me and he even noticed it and asking why they were like that and do business elsewhere. Go to PetSmart that close to battleground location I went there GREAT customer service noticed the exact same littler box just color difference on riser told her I just left ''all pets" and my experience came there she said we price match online without even asking for cheaper price and she pulled it up noticed it was $21.95. No issues or problems at all they cared about the customer. They know that was not right how they treated me if I want something I'll have it hand made before I go...
