Where do I start? I've been in the area for ~2 years now. I've always been a Home Depot guy so I choose to go here instead of Lowe's which is across the street. HD has never given me a reason to switch so they'll keep my business until they give me a reason not to shop with them. I thought today might be Strike #1. Instead, they went above and beyond at this location and they now have a customer for life. I had an issue using a store credit (wife's name and not mine). Darlene was extremely polite and informed me that I could not use the credit because my wife was not present. I was disappointed, but I understood. I explained how we ended up with the store credit in the first place and she offered to call the manager, Frank. Over the phone he must have told her "no" and she quickly echoed that response to me. I asked if he'd be willing to hear me out and she called him right back. In the blink of an eye, Frank appeared. He was friendly and shook my hand. I explained the situation and after a few moments, he made the accommodation and authorized Darlene to continue with the purchase. During my visit, I stopped by the paint counter where Caitlyn assisted me with trying to match a very old can of paint. She did her best and made me a sample. While everything was going on at the register during my checkout, Sean showed up. He offered to take a stab at matching the color. After I settled up with Darlene, I made my way back over to the paint counter. Both Caitlyn and Sean were diligently trying to match the paint color. After maybe 15mins, they whipped up two new samples that were very close; if not spot-on. While my visit was longer than anticipated, it was time well spent. I got everything I needed and then some. I was also treated with respect throughout the experience. I big THANK YOU to everyone who assisted me at this location today. I'll be seeing...
Read moreHey, y’all. I just want everyone who actually reads these reviews (and management / corporate, of course) to know that their employee named SAL, who was working in APPLIANCES tonight (11-2-2025) at the Home Depot in Phillipsburg, NJ, likes to talk a lot of trash on the children that come in with their parents, TO THEIR PARENT UNKNOWING.
Tonight a couple, who are good friends of mine, took their five year old son to Home Depot to look at tile. While there, Sal decided it was a great time to trash talk their son, who happens to be on the autism spectrum, to his own father, without even knowing it was his father. He said things such as how he “can't stand the sound [of the child],” “he (the child) shouldn't be the store,” how he “bets they'll (the family) come over and let him (the child) touch all the appliances,” and “how annoying they (children) are.”
While I understand that some people are just not fans of young children, there is a time and place for conversation like that, and at your place of employment where thousands of families shop is absolutely not one of them.
To put the icing on this garbage cake, I reached out to the mother of the child in question and she has told me how she reached out to local management, and surprise! It’s not the first complaint they have received about Sal regarding a matter such as this one.
I wish the best for Sal and hope this could be a learning opportunity to remember the importance of the saying “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all,” and hey, Sal, if children are that irritating, maybe get a job that doesn’t...
Read moreCustomer Service Chris is a great asset to Home depot of Greenwich!
We bought patio furniture, they said you can take it or have it delivered We chose delivery. A few days later the delivery service called us, they could not find one of the cartons. A few days later 1 of the 2 cartons showed up. We put the chairs together and waited for a table.
We went to the store to see about the table the only answer they had for us was to bring back the chairs and they will cancel order, and start again. Of course we said no to that. ( we had spent an afternoon putting the chairs together)
We called the customer service # too. Multiple Home depot people said "sorry we can not do anything except a new order"
Next day we went back to the Greenwich store the MGR. Chris was the most helpful. He had a table delivered to our house the next day.
1 person took 20 minutes to do what 5 people and more than a week could not (or didn't want to) do. Please thank Chris in the Greenwich/Phillipsburg store for being an excellent customer...
