I had an extremely disappointing experience at the HomeGoods in Phillipsburg, NJ, on February 4, 2025 at 9.25 pm. I had about 20 items, mostly cookware, and when I requested that the items be wrapped to prevent breakage, the cashier was incredibly uncooperative and annoyed. She repeatedly complained about the number of items, saying things like, “too many items” and “Why do I need to wrap them?” I even asked another associate, a young woman, for help, but this second associate refused.
When it came time to pay, the cashier asked if I had a TJX card, and when I confirmed, she asked, “Then what’s my benefit?” implying I should be opening a new credit card. She was rude, unprofessional, and treated us like we were at Walmart.
I was left feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, spending thousands of dollars, but this experience has made me question whether I’ll continue shopping at this particular HomeGoods.
I hope management looks into this situation by investigating the CCTV footage and contact me back (my email id is...
Read moreI love this store! I purchase merchandise here frequently. At least once a week. I recommend this store to anyone, The buyer has wonderful taste and I find many great finds. Though yesterday Sunday November 11 around 5 pm I stopped in after work and spent 200 dollars and did not have with me my credit card and more cash to purchase a few more items that I had so I asked if it can be held over night the nice cashier asked the manager some gentleman well not really he was very unfriendly and rude about holding it overnight. Which I know around this time of the year when Christmas is close is something they allow. He made me feel very uncomfortable about holding my items overnight which they did. I work with the public myself and I think he should be reviewed on his customer service skills which are definitely lacking. Thank you for letting me boast about your wonderful store. And also for making you aware of your terrible long faced unfriendly ...
Read moreGo in the back and ask for the surf and turf. Very delicious, the spices the herbs. It's incredible. Watched them batter the fish in a yourgurt and lemon herb marinade. Then using an Italian breading they were fried at 350 in a low flavor oil. The asparagus was marinated in balsamic vinegar and salt, baked at 310 for 30 minutes. The rice is made in a rice cooker. The fish paired with the aspagus and rice is a perfect meal. Complimenting eachother in a perfect way. A lighted aged rioja would pair perfectly with this meal (which they could not sell because they do not have a liquor license). Overall compliments to the chef and the staff. Great meal, great service, and great environment. The band thet night was not particularly good, not a fan of Ska. Also there was a really smelly flower at the table, was throwing off the flavors...
