We went to Sushi Kingdom on Friday, November 1st, 2024 for lunch. It was a fantastic experience! My two middle schoolers and I ordered from the all-you-can-eat menu @ $17.99 per person and my 6 year old ordered the children’s all-you-can-eat (I want to say about $7 for her). It is such a great value! As a whole, we ordered 2 miso soups, a bowl of edamame, 2 California rolls, 1 rainbow roll, chicken nuggets and French fries, chicken fried rice, chicken tempura, a sampler-type sushi of about 9 pieces, and more. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the all-you-can-eat menu was extensive, with a large variety of choices from which to choose. Those 4 all-you-can-eat meals would have been more than enough; however, I also let the children order a la carte- Japanese strawberry sodas and desserts. We had bowls of mint chocolate chip ice cream, fried Oreos, and fried bananas. Truly, EVERYTHING was extremely tasty! The service was some of the best service we have ever had, too! Sushi Kingdom has many chefs working and every single dish we ordered was out to the table within 5 minutes. Our server was very attentive, coming back to the table every few minutes to see what else we wanted. She kindly brought the kids children’s chopsticks to make eating easier. She explained menu items and had a pleasant demeanor. Again, it was just a wonderful experience! You can tell the staff works their behinds off! As for atmosphere; we found the establishment to be clean and welcoming. There is also plenty of on-site parking available. 10/10- we will be back! Please note that certain rules do apply to all-you-can-eat menus, as is customary most places. In smaller print on the menu, I noticed the rules. You have 2 hours to use the all-you-can-eat. To discourage food waste, you will be charged roughly $11 per pound of uneaten food. I made sure to explain this to my children and had them only order one dish at a time & finish that dish before ordering another. Doing this prevented us from incurring any food waste charges. Also, I saw something about being charged for sharing plates. Again, this seems customary in most all-you-can-eat places. Anyone eating will be fairly charged. Overall, please give this restaurant a try! It is a fantastic addition to the area and we hope enough locals and visitors frequent Sushi Kingdom to keep it around for...
Read moreThe hospitality is from elsewhere, and I don't mean NYC. Everyone, from the hostess to the service staff, from the kitchen to the sushi bar give you their best, the best of what they have to offer. The freshest ingredients they can come upon, the best preparation and presentation and the friendliest, most attentive service. I watched a server share a barret from her hair with a child that recognized it was edamame. They aren't attached to things. They give and serve and share their best. That's hospitality in most of the world, and I have such a loving gratitude sharing this standard of hospitality in America. I frequented this establishment when it was a Ruby Tuesday, and I absolutely love what the new management did with this place! First, they painted the entire building matte black. It stands isolated and ominous in a parking lot shared by the neighboring burger kingdom. The outer door is heavy, and allows you to fully contemplate your decision to enter as you struggle to open the door. The foundational decor is macabre: curtains, blinds. They have a nice collection of black dishes. The bar has been converted into a sushi bar. I was expecting a buffet where the salad bar had been, but to my delight everything on the menu is prepared to order. The experience is very personalized and very intimate. Noteworthy effort is exerted creating the atmosphere, outstanding service; every aspect of dining! I have a very mild palate, and the cuisine suits my taste perfectly. It's challenging to prepare food simply; you notice everything... it can't be over cooked, every ingredient has to be fresh. It is evident in the details that the large team preparing the food really care. The gyoza sauce is probably the closest I'm going to get to Japan: well balanced citruses. I don't normally choose mushrooms, but the thin slices enhance the clear soup with a touch more than a garnish. I noticed a really nice cut of salmon was slipped into one of my rolls. There's something to appreciate about everything you're willing to try. I like the cut on the French fries: they're wide enough to enjoy one at a time. True to Japanese dining, small plates are ordered progressively. The prix fixe menu offers a nice selection for a really good value! They do everything I would look for if I were...
Read moreDined in to try this newer Sushi restaurant Upon explanation it is a All you can eat. For adults thats $24.99 a head.
Top Left: Phillipsburg Roll 🍣 Was delicious and the Eel sauce combined with Mango brought a great sweetness to it. Unfortunately one piece had something very hard i had to spit out but luckily the rest of it was fine.
Center left: Mt Fuji Roll 🏔️ The steamed shrimp was fresh and tasty, the crab on top sold it with flavor. Unfortunately there was no spice to it even tho it was covered.
Bottom: Kingdom Roll 👑 This had a strange Tuna versus the sliced fresh fish it was more of a Puree. Red in color so i assumed it would bring the spice but it did not. If you notice the menu has most items topped with Tuna, as a All You Can eat this is understandable and fair to avoid profit loss and it wasn't bad at all. The Roll was delicious with fresh Avocado 🥑 and Mango 🥭 which combined nicely. For spicy crawfish, spicy tuna, and sweet chili sauce i got no heat unfortunately 😔
Far Right: Hot Girl Roll🔥 This I thought was going to be my favorite but unfortunately was my 4/4 ranked. The shrimp tempura and mango were fresh and delicious but other than that it was bland and boring.
The service was on point with frequent check ups, refills, and a very clean restaurant and comfortable atmosphere. Would gladly return to satisfy the All you can Eat craving. Just dont expect world class Sushi dining experience but definitely for some AYCE fresh sushi and excellent...
