It seems in the age of Amazon, and buy! Buy! Buy ; that customer service is a thing of the past, but in this great little shop in Gunnison it is alive and thriving! We were just browsing around town after a hike and before dinner and wandered in. Not only do they have a great assortment of clothing and shoes, but we had a fun conversation with a gentleman about the area and places to eat, ride, etc. it was great to see people who just like interacting and actually engaging conversation! We ended up buying some Hokas and a new OR rain shell. Lacy was sweet and efficient at our checkout and was simultaneously helping a new salesclerk with an inventory question. Do not give this business any business. Unfortunately I cannot share exactly what happened albeit I will provide a general statement. To summarize, the owners pretend to be one type of person when in truth they are just the opposite. It is hypocrisy at its best. They habitually lie, shame people and have done all types of unimaginable damage to several people. They have one of the highest records of employee turnover rates ever witnessed. That tells you something right there. Also, they mark up items over 70%! The list is long behind them. The one thing we can give them is that they are great actors. Please don't give them a cent. Very few locals will give them business- they want them gone. Eventually they will be found out...

I wish I could give this store zero stars. My wife and I went in there to buy some socks and other gear. The staff made some rude comments about me being in women's section as she was looking. We then went over to the shoe area and were looking at socks. Two of the employees walked over and started watching us. Hovering. Made us very uncomfortable. I told them off and we left. Nobody should feel like a second class citizen when shopping. We visit CB and Gunny a lot as avid skiers, hikers and outdoor people. Everyone should find a new place...
