The Paper Store — Local services in Hadley

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Don't go to this store if you plan on buying jewelry. The worker followed us around the whole time and as I was comparing earrings (hoop sizes) she said "have you decided on those?" And I said "nope still looking" and she proceeded to unkindly tell me that she needed to keep them behind the counter. It was in a way that was clearly insinuating me stealing. This alone was not an issue but what was was when the women I was with politely started to ask why and if she thought we were stealing she cut her off mid sentence and went "have a good day ladies" in a sarcastic tone and started ushering us out the door. We went back in after a second where she proceeded to fakely apologize. As a customer I have never had such a disgusting situation happen to me. I have been going to the paper store for years and this has never happened. Looking at the other reviews it is clear this one woman is an issue. I wanted to exchange 2 gifts that I received duplicates of and you might have thought I was looking to exchange a car. “What was the person’s name that purchased it? What’s their zip code? Do they have a rewards card?” Seriously? First, it was a gift and this is a store that specialized in gifts. Second, The retail value of the first item was $28 dollars and I started the conversation by saying I was hoping to exchange it for a different one. I was eventually offered a store credit but only after I told the associate “never mind, I’ll just throw it away”. And people wonder why customers shop...

I called looking for specialty paper. The person on the phone said yes, we have a good selection. I drove 45 min from my home. I walked in and asked a worker at the front. She said sorry, we don't have specialty papers. You need to go to a stationary store. I said I thought this was one till I walked into the door. I had to fight the holiday parking to find out how misleading your business name is.

I will never go back to a store that has staff that like on the phone just to get customers in the door. Hadley, ma location is the worst...
