I wanted to bring attention to a disappointing experience I had while visiting the store to sell several high-quality branded clothing items. Among the pieces I brought in were items from NVGTN—a well-known women's fitness clothing line—an Essentials hoodie, and various jeans, jean shorts, and tops.
While I was shopping around the store during my visit, I overheard a male manager speaking with a coworker about the NVGTN leggings. He questioned the authenticity of the logo, implying it was stamped on and not a genuine item. As someone who takes great pride in maintaining their clothing and invests considerable effort and money into curating quality pieces, it was disheartening and frankly disrespectful to hear such dismissive and judgmental comments—especially within earshot of customers.
Additionally, this same individual made remarks about the Essentials hoodie, referencing a very minor mark (not even the size of a dime) as justification for offering only $6. What stood out to me was not only the undervaluation but the clear lack of understanding or appreciation for the brand, which another employee attempted to explain. The manner in which he dismissed the item suggested a preconceived judgment about its authenticity or value.
What bothered me most was the casual and public nature of these comments. It felt unprofessional to speak so negatively and openly about customers' items in front of others. When I respectfully addressed the pricing concern with the female associate at checkout—making it clear my frustration wasn't directed at her—the male manager, who was within earshot, simply looked over without offering any acknowledgment, apology, or clarification. He continued folding clothes while making eye contact, which only added to the discomfort of...
Read moreJust came back from here and my experience was extremely disappointing. I've worked customer service for over ten years and I've never spoke to my customers with distaste. I came into the store and asked to borrow the cart to bring in my belongings and the older gentleman (if you can call him that because there was nothing gentle about him) did not greet me, spoke to me with an attitude, almost yelling at me about how they don't take things in bags since May. Very nasty. I told him that my items were washed and folded but they were in bags and since they weren't taking bags I wouldn't bring them in. I had a big tote of shoes to bring in and it was very heavy so I needed the cart. I told him I had borrowed the cart from there before to bring stuff. He was very hesitant but finally let me borrow the cart. I brought in my tote of shoes and logged in my info. I left the store and not even one minute from leaving the store I received a text saying my stuff was ready. I came back in the tote was right where I left it and they didn't even look through my items. They were as I left them. Their reasoning was that they don't sell heels in the store (they had heels on display for sale so....🤔???). I had 3 pairs of heels currently in style of what's in the market and the rest were sneakers, flats, and flat boots which they didn't bother to look at. What a waste of time (I drove over 50 min to get there), they should've just told me they weren't going to take my things from the getgo. If a lot of people are saying the same thing about their experiences, then there must be some truth in them. Instead of replying to those reviews in a petty way, spend the time learning how to be professional. Please change your attitude towards your customers it'll help you in...
Read moreI don’t understand why this particular location does not go through sellers items if they bring in “too many” clothing options. I had several items nicely folded such as Jean shorts and cute crop tops and Victoria secret pink items, and was turned away without anyone actually opening the gray bin of clothing I had brought in. I understand you guys only accept what sells in order to keep the business running, but I don’t understand how someone can bring in a large selection of clothing and not one item is accepted or even looked at or considered. Staff was laughing at other seller’s belongings and this is very unprofessional. I watched the staff and they did not even move or touch my items I had brought in, they simply decided based on the first item they saw that everything would be unacceptable when the majority of the cuter styles were at the bottom of the bin which they had not seen.
I agree with others that the Orange location is much better as they accept at least one item from every customer no matter what they bring in, and I saw more customers shopping there because they did not feel turned away, they purchased items with the money they made from selling their own items. I would rethink the way you guys handle the sentiments of other’s belongings & actually look at/examine all the items that are brought to you because THAT IS YOUR JOB! If something nice is missed because an employee does not feel like looking further than the first item in the bin, then it’s YOUR loss, not...
