I went to Cadillac on a day trip on 01/20/22 and thought I’d stop in to Goodwill which I did in several cities along my way from the south-west side of the state. I was shocked and appalled at the condition and uncleanliness of the store. I understand I was there during an expansion but that’s really no excuse. I grabbed a basket and saw a few things I’d like so I put them in my basket. I ended up at the book section and was shocked at the price of the paperback books. $3.99 for a used book at goodwill!!! I bought a couple of books in other cities at Goodwills along the way up to Cadillac and paid $1 a piece for them. I looked at the price tags of the things in my cart and couldn’t believe the prices! I am on a fixed income and thought that Goodwill was a thrift store. A place to get a good deal. To make a long story short I left my basket and headed out the door. I drove down the street to Salvation Army and bought three books for $1 a piece. Oh, and by the way the staff was much friendlier at Salvation...

I am a veteran, and went to use my military ID, being thurs, they do a discount. Anyways, so I was told that because its expired, that I wasn't allowed to have the discount. That its not for veterans, only for ppl still active in the military! What?!? I have never ever been told that in my life. Read moreNO FITTING ROOMS?! I wasted alot of time grabbing clothes to try on. I had probably 20+ items. I wouldve spent alot more money if I was able to try things on. Theres no sign posted anywhere that I noticed saying so. The employee I asked said they took them away during covid then the employee at checkout said it was because of stealing. Every other thrift store ive been to still has fitting rooms. I dont live in the area either so Im not going to go through the hassle of spending $100+ go somewhere else to try things on then have to go back and return and have multiple charges on...
