Do not buy an Asko dishwasher, they are terrible. Nothing against the people at Hakodas, but our experience has been very frustrating. Almost a year ago we ordered a new dishwasher, which took around 4 months to arrive. When it was delivered the door was damaged on the front, but it would still function so we asked if they could install it and just get a new door delivered, no problem. The wrong door got delivered once, and we are still waiting on the right one. The bigger issue is that the Asko POS keeps shutting down and giving us error codes, generally an inlet water pressure too low fault from the error code online. We have had service people look at it several times and the general consensus is that these Asko dishwashers suck. We were told that we need to wash the dishes first because it is a European model(?!). Mind you we have a garbage disposal and we scrape off big stuff for compost/chickens and rinse off anything really chunky before loading the dishwasher, so the most going in there is stuff like ketchup and sauce on the plates. According to the most recent tech even pasta sauce or salsa bits is enough to clog the drain and completely shut it down. I have asked about getting the whole unit replaced since we are still waiting on the door, it seems like they would prefer to just keep sending people out to fix it, but it's getting old fast. Never had a problem with our previous dishwasher, it lasted about 6 years without any issues, so we know it's the Asko that sucks since we have had it for less than 6 months and it has worked for a couple weeks at a time at the most. Ordering appliances through this company can be difficult. They dont answer the phone and when they do answer the phone, they are rude and too busy to talk to you, as mentioned in other reviews. When we placed our order and paid up front, we were told if the price is higher when the items come in, we will have to pay the higher price, I have never heard of this kind of transaction in my life and I am wondering if this is even legal. We tried to order a full set of appliances for our new home and we ended up with a mismatch, for instance they couldnt provide us with the washer we had ordered so we had to accept a different washer. We ordered our appliances at the beginning of the year and was told different dates for different appliances but none of them came in when they were supposed to. We were told some our appliances had arrived, then the next day we were told they thought they were there but now they're not; so we were wondering who the appliances they received went to??? We ended up having to purchase other appliances from other stores (that arrived in just 3 weeks) that doesnt match our other appliances. We have a 13 year old SubZero refrigerator/freezer. We started noticing a tool looking indicator inside the top area showing there maybe a functional issue. We looked through our files and noticed the refrigerator was installed by Hakoda's Builders Appliance. It was passed any warranty. We decided to call the company to see if they could send someone out to troubleshoot the issue. They were booked solid and we realized it could be weeks before they would be available. However, to our surprise the owner responded and rearranged their schedule to fit us in within a couple of days. We were greatly appreciative. To our amazement the technical person who arrived was the actual owner...Wayne. He was very organized and extremely proficient. He spent approximately two hours analyzing disassembling and identifying the problem which was a back aching task. He carefully cleaned the system identified the problem and made the repair. An amazing, kind and considerate owner and technical expert. The price was way below what we expected. Hakoda's Builders Applicance is a great, professional business which we highly recommend.
