me and my friends and family recently had the privilege of getting tattooed at Skin Factory, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the shop's modern and clean facilities, which immediately put me at ease.

The team at Skin Factory are absolute professionals, they’re knowledgeable, creative, and passionate about their craft. They took the time to understand my ideas and preferences, offering expert guidance and advice to ensure that my tattoo was everything I wanted it to be.

The tattooing process itself was surprisingly comfortable and relaxing, thanks to Ryans gentle touch and soothing demeanor. They checked in regularly to ensure I was happy with the progress, and made adjustments as needed to ensure that the final result was perfect.

And perfect it is! My tattoo is truly a work of art, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. The attention to detail and expertise that went into creating it are evident in every line and color.

I'm not sure what happened here, but I'll be honest in my review and explain exactly what occurred.

I came in to cover a scar, and as you can see, the tattoo was a mess. I’m 1000% very disappointed. After having time to really look at it, I found too many inconsistencies.

The tattoo itself was a great design based on a picture I provided, and the artist was a cool dude. However, for $1400, I expected better quality work. This was not a $1400 tattoo at all.

Some lines are missing ink, some lines don’t connect as they should, and some shapes are inconsistent with crooked lines. On some of the squares, the lines stick out at the corners and there is ink where there shouldn’t be any. Some areas don’t have enough ink and can still see the skin. Overall, it’s just a very sloppy job.

I've decided to forgo any more tattoo sessions while in Hawaii due to timing. A partial refund was issued, but the bad tattoo remains for the rest of my life.

The artist should have taken the time to inspect and correct the obvious mistakes. He mentioned he was supposed to be off that day and the next and had plans with his fiancée for dinner, which might explain why the work was rushed and sloppy.

I was told by the owner, that the artist who did my tattoo was the best, specializing in tribal tattoo…don’t think so. To me, he is not even close and has a long way to go.

Plenty of tattoo shops to choose from. Ask for the artists’ work and ask questions, if you’re not feeling it,...

We just returned from an incredible vacation on the Big Island. A highlight of the trip was getting tattoos at the Skin Factory. We popped in on our first day on the Island so we could discuss our ideas with the tattoo artist. Dave and Eddie provided excellent customer service and answered all of our questions. We booked our appointments for our last day on the island (so that we could get all of our swimming in).

Let it be known that both Dave and Eddie are incredible tattoo artists. We had five tattoos total. This is what I appreciated: The shop is immaculate We weren't rushed at all They answered all of our questions They blocked off plenty of time for our family They prioritized safety and education They were warm, welcoming, and friendly AND...they are crazy talented tattoo artists.

What you may not know, is that this shop lost everything in the Maui fires last year. The are in the process of rebuilding their business. Even with so much adversity and loss, both Dave and Eddie are full of positivity and love.

I wish I could give this shop 10 stars. We walked in as strangers, but we left feeling like we made friends. Our hats off to you, Dave and Eddie. You gave us amazing tattoos and incredible memories. We're fans of the Skin Factory.
