Came here on a Thursday night right after landing in Kona and checking into our hotel in Waikoloa. The other shaved ice place we wanted to go to closed early around 6:30 pm and this was closing later around 8:45 pm so had no choice but to go here. It was around 7:45 when we entered and only two employees were working and the line was quite long. There were about 10 people in front of us. The service was quite slow and it took us 50 minutes from entering to receive our order. The staff quite fairly didn't seem to enjoy working and simply wanted to go home. (I don't understand why it was taking so long to make the orders in the first place)
I'm a shaved ice fanatic always trying different locations everywhere I go. Unfortunately this did not hit the mark. I ordered Tigers Blood, Coconut and Blue Hawaii in the regular size. The syrup was super sweet and the ice was slush-like in texture. On one of my other dishes they poured the wrong flavor (cherry) instead of Lilikoi. The price was also quite high and expensive compared to other vendors. Could be that they are taking advantage of being open later than other locations, but I don't recommend. This store serves their shaved ice in wider plates, which I wasn't a fan of personally. There were quite a bit of mosquitos and flies over by the pickup counter (which was lathered in sticky syrup). AC did not seem to be working inside the...

They offer about seven different flavors made with 100% natural ingredients (for an additional 50¢), and we chose Yuzu Citrus, Kula Strawberry, and Lychee (Lychee has a $2 upcharge) for our regular-sized ($8.50) shaved ice.🍧
The presentation was unique — instead of the usual round shape, it was more oval, which made it look stylish and original. As for the taste, the natural flavors were really good. The Yuzu Citrus in particular had a tartness that some people may love, while others might find it a bit too sour depending on their taste.🍧
There’s no indoor seating, but on a sunny day, enjoying it at the outdoor tables is spacious and pleasant. I’d love to come back the next time we visit this area — preferably on an emptier stomach — to try some of their original creations and fun toppings like mochi and...

If you’re on the Big Island and don’t try a snow cone from Gecko Girlz, you’re seriously missing out on one of Hawaii’s best-kept secrets. I had the pleasure of trying their signature snow cone, and let me just say—it was pure aloha in a cup.
They don’t skimp on quality either. The syrup tasted real, not overly sweet or artificial. Every bite was a perfect balance of bold fruit flavor!
To top it off, the staff were warm, welcoming, and full of island spirit. Friendly smiles, laid-back vibes, and a true love for what they do.
Gecko Girlz isn’t just a treat—it’s a must. Whether you’re fresh off the beach, exploring the island, or just need a taste of joy, this is the spot. I’ll be dreaming about this snow cone until I make it back. Amazing...
