Our captain and crew made this trip! Our Captain (can’t remember her name, but she’s a marine biologist and went to Texas A&M for grad school) was extremely friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and skilled! She had such a great rapport with the staff (Grady (?), Brayden (?), Emma, and the photographer, Daniel). They were all extremely helpful and personable, as well. The blonde-haired gentleman doing the snorkel-donning demonstration was so funny; he made my fiancé and I laugh several times. Everyone was so laid back, which helped foster a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The Captain stopped to have us listen to the whales signing nearby by using some sort of sound device. She then prompted to answer any and all questions we had about the whales (or anything, really). She also allowed us to use the sail on the way back to the pier. It wasn’t very windy, so we were only going 3.5 knots, I believe, but it was fun, nonetheless.

Our only disappointment (which wasn’t a surprise, as it’s mentioned as a potential alternative snorkeling location on their website) was that we couldn’t go to Turtle Town, apparently due to the poor visibility cause by rain the past couple of weeks, we were told. Instead, we stayed within the vicinity of the Molokini Crater. We understand, however, that weather is weather and there’s nothing you can do about that.

The food and alcoholic/alcohol-free drinks were delicious, as well.

Lastly, I rented a wetsuit (I get cold easily) because we didn’t read anything on the website or in the email about any wetsuits being available. If you’re cold like I am, just know there is no need to rent a wetsuit—they have ones on the boat you can use!

All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will recommend Trilogy Excursions to anyone who is going to Maui...

My husband had awesome time on your boat trilogy VI with Captain Riley and his beastly gals Claire and Amanda. Captain Riley crew worked extremely hard in making our experience memorable and fun. Amanda and Claire were are guides, lifeguards, and servers for our awesome lunch. Also, the crew were so professional and personal at the same time. Amanda and Claire made sure our cups were filled with drinks and went extra mile in asking us if we are doing ok. Amanda and Claire wealth of knowledge in knowing the island history too. Our Captain Riley shared his culture and his passion for his love for the sea. Just had a lovely day in talking with everyone and sharing a piece of Hawaiian Trilogy Ohana with my husband and I. Will do this again in heart beat.

We had breakfast on the boat with Captain Riley grandma’s cinnamon buns and slices of fruit. Now that’s not breakfast but they served us bacon egg cheese croissant sandwich. Super yummy!!! Then a hour boat ride to Lanai island but we stopped due to dolphin sightings. Captain Riley stopped for us to see the dolphins. He stopped the boat for us to take pictures and video. It was a beautiful experience. We got on the island and walked to the beach which is like a 5 minute walk. When we got to the beach, Trilogy had snorkel gear, the life vests and fins. Also, they had beach chairs and mats for use. They had ice water and juice that was tasty. Captain Riley was great in going over safety rules. Then we had free time to hike or snorkel. At 11am we had lunch at the harbor pavilion. It was yummy with a beautiful salad and sweet Hawaiian roll, BBQ chicken, boiled corn and freshly stir fired noodles. Return home on the same boat with Captain Riley sailing back to Port. Highly recommend Trilogy cause they truly care each...

We just got off the Lanai snorkel tour with Trilogy and it was fantastic! Worth every penny. From the moment we met up with Captain Casey on the dock we were well taken care of by him and the wonderful crew. The morning Sail began at 10am and was a delightful ride where we were fed delicious foods along with coffee, fresh juice and water. We saw whales and followed a pod of playful dolphins for a bit. The weather was glorious and I cannot say enough about the crew. On the island we had the opportunity to snorkel in some beautiful reefs. The colorful fish were a treat to see and the water was perfect. We hiked to a spectacular point on the beach with a stunning view that I will never forget and then hung out in the tide pools. We had plenty of time to just hang out and relax on the island. Beach mats, sunscreen and chairs along with water, juice and snacks were provided. After several wonderful hours on the island, we were seated and served a delicious and plentiful late lunch/dinner. The food was truly outstanding and the service was once again stellar and friendly. Our return sail was amazing!!! We were treated to many whale sightings, but the icing on the cake was the baby whale and its momma who put on a real show for us. The excitement from this sighting really made the trip a very special one. Captain Casey was very attentive and respectful. Every time we were close to a whale he cut the motor which gave us the opportunity to watch them in a safe environment for the whales. As the crew raised the sails to use the wind, we were once again served some wonderful cocktails/beer and a sundae to top off the incredible day…wow!!!! One we will...

This was the best snorkeling tour I went on! They were taking out two locations where we saw turtles, eels, and gorgeous fish. Their food is very good and the crew is awesome! On the way back, we were escorted by dolphins. It was the coolest! I highly recommend this crew and captain - worth every cent.

Completely and 110% worth it. If you’re wanting to pay a little more for something more “touristy” then this is definitely it. Raquel (spelling?), Zack, Clare, and Jen did an astounding job on being informative and succinct, goofy but not too cheesy. You board the boat and are given breakfast. Standard meal is a cinnamon roll with pineapple and orange. Vegan is same but with a banana nut muffin. Later, the standard snack looked like an egg bagel, vegan is flavorful hummus with carrots and cucumber. After arriving to the beach, you’re given snorkeling info. There are shaded picnic tables, snorkels, flippers, two types of flotation devices, rinsing areas, bathrooms, sunscreen, drinks, snacks (vegan), and a photographer (no commitment to having photos taken, no commitment to purchasing them). The man at Lanai who works for Trilogy was awesome as well! You’re given time at the island (2.5 hrs?) to snorkel, see tide pools (5 minute walk), and the lookout point (15-20 minute hike). I was afraid to snorkel, but Clare saw me struggling and gave me pointers and eased my worries!! After is lunch. Standard meal is a side salad with bread, hui hui chicken, yakisoba, and corn on the cob. Vegan meal is the same, minus the bread roll, replacing the chicken with grilled veggie kabobs. After boarding the boat, cocktails are offered, and, allegedly only in good conditions, they stop the boat between the island to allow a brief amount of time to swim (10-15 minutes). There is also ice cream, which had no vegan option. Awesome awesome experience. Highlight of my trip!
