I was very excited to try Momo Sushi as I had read good things about it online. However, after eating here I'm wondering if they paid people for the reviews because it wasn't great.
To begin, I'll say that the restaurant was not very busy at all, but the second we showed ANY hesitation with what to order, the waitress said "Oh, you're not ready." and walked away. She did this twice. Very impatient. Does not want to answer questions.
My daughter ordered the samurai roll, which has eel, which she has had many times before (at other sushi houses) and enjoys very much. The roll that was brought to her must have been made with the tail end of the eel and I'm worried about the freshness of the eel as well. She ate a piece, then thought to herself that the second piece would be better, which is wasn't. Then felt bad that I bought her a roll so she ate a third piece before saying I should try it.
I tried it and nearly threw up. It took everything in me to not throw up on the table. I am a fan of eel rolls in general, but this was just plain awful. I said to my daughter "There's no way on earth you think this tastes good" and she said "Good. I was worried you would say it was good and then I would feel like I needed to eat the whole thing." I took the plate and put it aside to be taken away.
The waitress came over and asked if we wanted it to go and I told her "No, take it back, it was disgusting. We can't even eat it." and she just said "OK" and walked away.
Later she asked again as we were leaving if we wanted it to go. As if I would want to eat the disgusting roll at home or give it to someone else so they could eat something awful. At that point she quickly said "sorry" and walked away.
The rest of our food was mediocre at best, but because of the disgusting Samurai roll, it ruined the whole meal. My stomach is very uneasy and I don't feel well because of how gross it was.

Read moreThis is the first time I had really bad service. They skipped us ahead of another couple. That should had been our sign. They almost skipped us again after the wait line started getting longer. Our waitress (she had glasses) seemed in a really bad mood. It took her almost 20 minutes to get to our table. When she finally comes to our table she asks if we want a menu and drinks. We order and it takes another 30 minutes to get our food. Every time she refills she slams the drink on the table. The menu also said the shrimp shumai had six and was only brought four. When I asked she said it's only four now. No smile and just seems frustrated when asked for to go boxes. It gets worse she packs my soup and she drops hot soup on my husband and table. No I am so sorry. But only I will bring you napkins. She brings the check. I ask if she can take the convenience fee because I am paying with cash. She said they don't take cash. I told her really that's odd. She said my manager is not here and she will ask her manager. Then proceeds to help someone else. So I flag down another waitress after a few minutes and ask her. The new waitress states that they do take cash. I informed her of the bad service and told her the waitress with the glasses told me they don't take cash due to system. She apologized and took the fee off. I am so disappointed because the food is good but I won't be back if I have to pay almost $90 in an establishment that treats me and my family like this. Read moreWorst experience ever! First time we went to this place both my son and I got food poisoning! One of my friends kept saying it’s a good place and I decided to give it another chance! So I took my son again, during the whole pandemic thing, trying to support our local business, the seating was very limited, there was at least a 30 minute wait, we decided to stand by the door and wait, the couple in front of us got seated and it was our turn. This loud group of people comes in right as they are clearing a spot, and I’m thinking it’s for us, one of the guys from this group talked to the waitress and they decided to seat them before us, although there were other people there waiting behind us !!! This whole incident became extremely ugly and I absolutely blame the staff for allowing this to happen!!!
