store itself is amazing BUT Be really careful here to double check pricing. They will tell you one price online/phone and then charge you far more when you check out with the items several days later. (items were from a bin with no prices on them and I was charged at 20.00 each when i was told a range of 7-10 for example on some stuff recently purchased which even on the high end would have been fine despite missing battery covers) Was chatting with lady while checking out, they did not show the screen just a total that I didnt entirely hear and then i was not given a receipt while in store at all or shown the screen to sign so i didnt even sign on a card purchase nearly 200.let alone get to see the itemized prices. When calling back later after receiving receipt in my email and noticing that the pricing was WAAAAY off I was just told that like the signs say, "all sales are final" so I am now disputing with card for the over charged amount.(about $40) I have no problem with used toys being all sales final, but I am not ok with being told one price and then charged double. The people who work there may not talk/know the actual prices of things in bins/unmarked compared to who answers phones / check out. So make sure even if they tell you something online or on the phone to ASK AGAIN while you check out so you arent ripped off. Edit - Looking around at other reviews this seems like it can be the norm and not an exception. Probably wont be back, which is a shame.
Reply to owners comment: I was charged close to 200.00 total but not everything on the receipt is wrong, the amount I was over charged is around $40 of the whole transaction. I was rung up for $60 of that almost 200$ for 3 bin items I was told on the phone ranged 7.50 to 10.00. So at most it should have been $30 for 3 things (two of which were missing backs but I'd have been fine with 10 just to help a store out right now. but i was charged $60. ($20, then $40 as custom items are on this receipt, The receipt doesnt even itemize them as 3 things. But all the other items match up and are on the receipt same as tag price so they were easy to pick out. (I was also over charged for the amount of cars I bought based on count and also tax because of the error) I already called my card company after the sales final stuff . I didnt dispute the entire transaction, just the over charge for the bin toys which was around $40 of the transaction. Looking at other reviews this isn't the first time and this reply isnt helpful either. I know no bin toys should be $20 each which is why I was dumbfounded getting home to this insane receipt. And more so it wasnt just refunded...
Read moreThis location posted on their Facebook they had some Funko pops that had just been traded in. I messaged them on Facebook and they agreed to hold them for me for 24 hours. I drove an hour to come to their Hendersonville location and when I arrived the employee told me they could have just sent the pops to the Murfreesboro location which was a little frustrating they didn't offer to do that when we were messaging the night before after I told them I was coming from Murfreesboro. I took a lot of Funko pops I no longer wanted in to trade in and they were valued at over $450 based on Hobby DB, Funko Price Guide, and average Ebay sales. I was offered $85 store credit for them. Needless to say I did not accept that value and took them to McKays where I received a far better trade in value for them. I opted instead to just buy a few of the pops they had and left.
A couple days later I decided to just go ahead and get the remaining three pops I didn't get before. I again messaged the store on Facebook to see if they were still available and if they could send them down to the Murfreesboro location. They said they could do that. I asked them when I could expect the pops to arrive at the Murfreesboro location and the store has just left me on read for 3 days now. I tried calling the store twice and no one answers the phone either. So I would rate the customer service at this location as severely lacking and they have no clue how to accurately price their pops or trade in values. I can't speak to how they value their other items in the store.
For example, I found an original run Captain America Funko pop from the first Avengers movie that is valued at over $250 and they had it for sale at $30. I happily snatched that up. All of the pops I bought they were priced way under the actual value of them. So not only are they essentially robbing folks that trade in pops at their store, they're severely messing up the pricing on their own pops and losing money. In any case I WOULD NOT recommend you trade in Funko pops at this location. You're much better off posting them in one of the Funko collector groups on Facebook, selling on Ebay or Hobby DB, or just taking them to McKays for trade credit/cash. I will say that the customer service at the Murfreesboro location is FAR better than the...
Read moreUpdate: Unfortunately, I have to change my review. Ever since two particular employees left, the store has gradually moved more and more away from what I came in for. Store owners can choose to stock what they want, but to then lie to me about it is another thing entirely. They also seem to prioritize stuff like T-shirts and purses or similar items now. The Japanese claw machines have been shoved into a back hallway where they're hard to even notice. The model kits have been dwindling with no sign of replenishment. They made my friend really push for his store credit. I'll probably visit Next Level Games in Rivergate instead.
I've been visiting Replay since they were over on New Shackle, and I've only come to appreciate them more with time. They're really very friendly, and they have a great selection. Will is awesome but he doesn't agree with my taste in Gundam UωU
One thing that's very important to me is that they don't just have American toys and collectibles, but imported ones as well. Figma, s.h.figuarts, nendoroids, Gunpla, Frame Arms/Frame Arms Girls, Moderoid, etc. They have stuff I never would have expected to see on a shelf in a physical store in the US, which I really appreciate.
You also never know what they might get in from a customer bringing in their old toys for sale, so there's often new stuff to look through.
They also offer layaway, though I forget if they have a minimum price for it. I think they do, but I can't recall what it is. Probably $100-$150.
Do be aware that it's often somewhat loud within, which, if you're neurodivergent like me, can be distressing. I haven't had the confidence to ever ask them if they can turn the music or arcade machine down though 😅
If you've never been to check them out, you...
