I would love my opportunity to share my experience in the midst of some of these rancid reviews. I was a patron of Brixx in Hendersonville lastnight (11/19/23). To set some context, this business was a packed house yesterday. I do believe there was a wait for even a two seating booth for about an hour at some point. From my prospective as a guest, this was nothing to do with the operations of the restaurant but due to the capacity of people trying to have a sit down meal at this restaurant (a true testament to this businesses and it’s ability to make returning customers). Onto my experience.
When me and fellow patrons sat for our food we were approached in an appropriate amount of time for the amount of business happening in this restaurant. We ordered our drinks and appetizers and at this time is when my table could not ignore the audible complaining from a huge party close to us. We saw them take their seats and heard nothing but complaints through out them taking their chair. It was evident that the staff was bending over backwards to accommodate this party that was over 25 people. After our drinks hit the table it was impossible to ignore this unruly bunch of people RAVING about writing poor reviews for the restaurant based on that fact that they are a huge party and did not get the service as if they were a party of 2. I told my waiter this information because you could see the effort that this restaurant was trying to pay to every guest and I morally do not agree to trashing a business due to the fact the whole store was filled with an additional wait and a large party did not get the undivided service they thought they were ENTITLED TO. Once we told our waiter, we saw the message get passed along to the GM (who we had already seen interacting with this increasingly difficult half army) and we saw the GM communicate to his front of house manager that it was time for them to leave. That manager then approached this party confronted them about the disrespectful manner that they had been treating his staff & asked them to leave at that time. These barbaric living craters dug their feet in the dirt and drew a SCENE on this man defending his staff. They loudly demanded that it “was their American right to eat where they want and to treat anyone how they felt”. They were then told that it is a business’s own right to refuse service. After that exchange they brandish their cell phones causing a bigger scene getting in the staff’s faces and personal space (some of these staff members are probably a day over 18 just trying to do their job) claiming that they have rights.
It was completely embarrassing to see neighbors of this community acting with such privilege, entitlement and lack of humanity. Once this party had finally made their exit, the dining rooms ERUPTED in applause for this staff’s ability to handle this difficult situation. By the end of the night the GM and front of house manager paid a visit to our table to thank us for speaking up and even decided to comp our appetizer to supplement their bitter behavior.
Shout out to this staff and restaurant! This business has survived COVID and contributes to this community. 10/10 will...
Read moreI had such an amazing experience here!
Every week, I try to go shopping and do lunch solo. As a mom, I think this is beyond important so that we can focus on ourselves for a bit. :) I was greeted at the door by the Manager. I didn't get his name, but he was beyond friendly and walked me to my table and let me know who my server would be. I was then greeted by Shelby B. as my server. She was so outstanding!!! If I owned a catering company or a fine dining restaurant, I'd absolutely hire her for a management role. She was friendly, very classy, knowledgeable about all of the products and what their ingredients were, and she was very timely while checking on me throughout my lunch.
I enjoyed the Mediterranean Salad. It's composed of Spinach, Goat Cheese, Sliced Tomatoes, Greek Dressing and a bit of freshly cracked pepper; with sliced olives. This was one of the best salads I've had in a very long time. I love my salads flavorful, so this was perfect. Along with this, I had a Margherita pizza. I was a bit surprised to find that it was not served on red sauce as most restaurants traditionally create it, but it was okay. I didn't like how the cheese seemed to fall off so easily while attempting to eat it, but the quality of the cheese and the crusts were outstanding! Next time I'll probably inquire if they're able to place it on red sauce for me.
For drinks, I enjoyed a glass of Pinot Grigio, and I tried the Coconut Pineapple Mojito. The main feature of this drinks uniqueness, was the mint. I didn't care too much for this drink; since they used vodka instead of rum to make it with. This overpowered the mint flavor, and thus - I had wine instead. :)
I'll absolutely be coming back! Its in my neighborhood, the manager and my server were friendly, the restaurant was clean inside and out and the bathrooms were impeccably clean! I was thoroughly...
Read moreAfter an hour of waiting to be seated Bricks refused us service and the general manager was inhospitable and unprofessional.
Story: Came to eat with a few families tonight (11.19.23). Have enjoyed coming to Bricks in the past as a meal before going to the Indian lake movie theater.
This time after waiting for about 20 mins, we started talking with the host and the General manager (middle age guy with mustache) not only came up and was aggressively rude towards us while talking with the host about possibly sitting in the existing open seats (which we have done in the past). He came into the conversation aggressively and telling us that “you’re gonna wait!! Or go find somewhere else!” We were shocked at the response. It was very unprofessional. We also heard him from the kitchen, telling the other employees, “make them wait.” We were only trying to make their job easier by figuring out seating arrangements by which we would order for all of our kids. And there were plenty of seats.
In the end we waited another 30 minutes only to be finally told they were gonna REFUSE US SERVICE after waiting for a total of an hour, unbelievable.
Terrible service, resulted in our families getting booted into the cold.
On the way out the General Manager affirmed his aggressive attitude and terrible service by waving us out and then giving a thumbs up to us being denied service.
I have a large family and while it can be difficult at certain places to have groups, this is by far the worst service I have had in a large...
