My wife and I are currently involved with a home renovation job in our kitchen. We purchased a number of items including an oven, microwave oven and refrigerator from this company at this location. We were told we had to pay for the oven and microwave up front in order to get them. The microwave oven we were told they could only sale what was in stock and if we paid for it. It would be ours. The salesperson said it was the only one in stock and we needed to pay in order to secure it for delivery on time. We recently got an email stating it was scheduled for delivery on time. This was very important because we need it for our home kitchen make over. The day before delivery we were sent another stating it was rescheduled for delivery June 14, 2021. We need it now!! I am also concerned about the refrigerator scheduled for June 3, 2021.
My wife contacted the appliance department and spoke to Herbert. He assured her he would look into it and follow up the next morning. This was important because we needed to follow up with our contractor, in order to determine best course of action. The following morning my wife and I waited for phone call from Herbert. He never called. My wife decided to go to this location to talk to him. She went to that department to see him and he was was another customer. She waited and talked to another person there. She ask to talk to Herbert. She said I may can help you. My wife said She needed to talk to him. They did have a dialogue and this person said the item had been damaged and could be delivered to us as scheduled. It was apparent that Herbert was avoiding talking to my wife and since we paid for the microwave ahead of time it was sold to somebody else. This person finally said there were several appliances, including microwave ovens setting out in ocean not being able to dock. This is unacceptable!!
How is it a major corporation like Home Depot can not bring in items, goods and all other accessories that has made the major company they are today. We have always supported this company financially from the beginning. I can not estimate the amount of money we have spent out their numerous locations throughout our years.
In our time of need they can not deliver. Is this the new normal or do we as the consuming public let this stand? Keep in mind we spend a lot of money at this company so we should not have to continue to accept this approach. Managers not following up and avoiding dealing with the problem with honesty and integrity. They need to remember we are the reason they have the revenues they enjoy for their stock holders and their corporation.
There are others DIY companies eager for business. They may be the same, but you using the only leverage you have, which is your...
Read moreI was so pleased with the carpet installers. They went out of their way - absolutely above and beyond to help rectify the terrible service I received through the Hendersonville Home Depot Store. Upon choosing home depot for my carpet replacement In February I paid the $35 fee to have the measurements done in order to get my carpets completed (My deadline was to have it done by the first weekend in May because we were planning on selling our home) The second week in March I came in to select my carpet and place my order. I specifically asked the two gentleman that were assisting me about which carpet was included in the free installation. I chose one based off of their recommendations within those guidelines. I was then called later that afternoon at work to be told that I need to come back in and choose a different product because that one was actually not included in the free installation. The next morning before work I went in and chose a different product based off of this request. I then went to sit with a customer service individual to complete my order yet again and was told it was too busy and that I should come back in later. When I did return later and sit down with a woman who was to set up my order, I was told my measurements had somehow been deleted from the system and even though they could see them on the screen it would be impossible to complete my order without having them come out again to my home to remeasure. Of course I was extremely frustrated but I tried very hard to be empathetic understanding, patient and kind. I did not receive the same treatment. I had a "manager" come out to inform me that I would have to wait another week for an individual to come out and remeasure my home.. but don't worry I won't have to pay the $35 fee again.. After the measurements were completed again the following week I called in to complete my order because I simply was so disappointed and frankly felt uncomfortable even going in to speak to someone because of how unsympathetic, unprofessional, and unkind the two women were to me in the flooring department. I then was informed that my project would absolutely be completed by May 1st which was the date I absolutely needed and stressed at every exhausting step of this process. On April 29th I was informed my project wouldn't be done until May 6th because there was no space on the cancellation list that they had put me on. I decided to reach out to the installation company who was wonderful and made it happen. I just want to warn others to not use this location if you have time constraints. The final product looks beautiful but it simply was not at all worth the headache of almost three months trying to make...
Read moreJust bought a safe at Home Depot Thursday. By the time I got it in the house by Saturday. There was no key. Understand I had a stroke not much strength anymore. Took me a day to get it.A day to get it in the house and a day to put it in position out of the box. After opening box no key. Called the store they said bring it back. I said you got to be kidding me. So I took it back. I bought a lot of stuff over the last few years from Home Depot. One of their most valued customers from what they tell me. Enough is enough though. I won’t be back. This is why, I have a home in Florida. That’s where I do most of my purchases with Home Depot. I bought a small lawnmower just something cheap to get the hard to get areas. We have 55 acres but it’s hard to use the big mowers around the house. I put it in my Tahoe by the time I got home I was smelling gas heavily was wondering how is this possible with the new mower. Open the back pulled out the mower somebody had bought the mower put gas in it and returned it. There was even a repair ticket in the box. My question is how did it get put back on the shelf where I was able to buy it. Talk to the store manager was supposed to get a call back nothing went round and round with them for quite a while. Spent $300 on cleaning the car. Eventually had to trade the car could not get rid of the smell of gas. That’s not all. Bought a pressure washer with warranty thousand dollars 200 and something with the warranty so about $1300 and all supposed to be the best one they carry in store. After six months a problem took it in they had to send it out they charged me $20. Then they sent it to the repair place charge me $200 by the time I got it back and it was three months later. Meantime I needed a pressure washer so I bought another one. So now I have two with these with the warrantee that supposed to cover things. As I talk to the lady today she told me I was an important customers they take care of their customers. You judge for yourself. But as I sit here writing this I have nothing but anger. There is clearly issues with Home Depot. I own their stock quite a bit actually. I’m going to be selling it. And I will not be stepping foot in their store again. And if anybody ask me I don’t like to talk bad about anybody or anything. but, enough is enough. I’m just done with...
