100000/10 Customer service. Came in yesterday to purchase a full routine of products from skincare to finishing powder. It had been years since Iâve worn anything more than drug store mascara and eyebrow pomade.
Since my skin has changed so much, and social media has influenced the beauty world tenfold I relied entirely on Megan, Makenzie (or Mckenna, Iâm sorry if I got it wrong!) and Jalynâs expertise to choose each product. I had my two young kiddos in tow and every employee greeted them and overall made us feel SO welcome. I had an idea of some brands I wanted to choose from that were classics in my moms makeup bag back in the day, then let Megan, Makenzie and Jalynâs pick the product, get the best deal, and color match me. I LOVED every product!
Megan is a Benefit brow specialist so she took a little extra time to show me how to use brow wax which Iâd never used before and WOW- I canât believe I went all my life without it. I even scheduled my first ever wax with her in a few days! I had no idea about all of the services Ulta offers so I actually went online and scheduled a cut and color as well! Oh, and the Benefit event and masterclass coming up in a couple weeks, duh!
I now have an entire routine perfectly curated to me for the first time in my life, and I cannot recommend it to every makeup loving person out there enough.    Read moreI was so happy Hickory finally got an Ulta! However after this, I think Iâll just keep driving to Mooresville or ordering online. The store wasnât incredibly busy and I was just killing time before my event. Left work early and had some birthday money I wanted to spend there. A customer came up to me frustrated thinking I worked there, she couldnât get any help. One of the employees saw what was happening and stepped in but made sure to tell the customer she was busy with someone else. While I was browsing another section another employee seemed nervous like she was avoiding customers. Just moving around items in the shelves. Avoiding eye contact or asking if I needed help, I didnât luckily.
Finally, I was ready to pay with my selection of products and saw there were 3 employees at the register. I asked the 2 that were not attending anyone if they were open and one of them rudely stated she was just there âwaitingâŠâ and then kept laughing and gossiping with the other one standing there. Ok cool, whatever that means. I waited on the customer in front of me to be rung up and after she was done I handed over my items. When I went to go pay with cash, the lady at the register called the âwaitingâ employee to come look at my $100 bill I gave her and in front of other customers remarked she wasnât sure what to look for and if it seemed right. It was embarrassing, train your employees better. I have no idea who made the hiring decisions and ran training but, do better....
   Read moreI got a Brow wax done after letting my brows grow for over a month so they was super thick and could be shaped with a good arch. The lady that works the brow bar was super sweet and very nice but from the beginning I expressed how much I loved for my brows to have the most arch as possible and not rounded at all, and she said she can definitely do it and so I went with it as Iâm very easy to go with the flow and even after she finished I said yes they look way better than they did because they did look better than when I came in and within the couple seconds of looking in the mirror after she finished I was thinking well maybe when I get home I can brush them up and they will look better so I didnât say anything other than asking her if she could possibly make the arch any better which she said ânot really, if I do it will take away from the tailâ so I just said ok thatâs fine but when I got home and tried brushing them up then i noticed how round she really got them I wasnât happy at all. Especially the right brow it has NO arch at all and my left brow has a gap in it. And for the price of $30 thatâs just crazy to me for it not to have any arch at all when thatâs the MAIN thing I kept talking about and wanted. But she really was a nice lady and Iâm not bashing her at all she did try but if your looking for a good arch in your eyebrows this is not the place.
