As other reviewers have stated, this store always seems to be closed and in the off chance that it is open, the store owner doesn’t make it worthwhile to spend your hard earned money here.
I can find cheaper prices online, but for the sake of supporting small businesses, I chose to spend it here instead. While the store owner wasn’t overtly rude, he wasn’t gracious either. You’d have to remind him of the discounts/promotions he advertised in store for him to honor it at check out. While it can be an honest mistake, it’s not a big store and this has happened on numerous occasions-so it’s more likely a pattern of him trying to get you to pay full price/not give you the free gift as advertised. So if you plan on spending your money here, stay vigilant!
This goes for contests and other events that involve potential freebies as well. Unless you’re in his inner circle, don’t expect an invite or mention even though it’s supposedly a perk for anyone that chooses to shop in-store.
While I came with good intentions and hopes of expanding my forth army, I’m left disappointed at how this storeowner fails to recognize its regulars that aren’t his friends. While I’m not expecting a red carpet treatment, I’d appreciate some honesty (applying discounts as advertised) and a bit of inclusion (invites to perks of shopping in-store as opposed...
Read moreOfficial Warhammer store. They have warhammer products. They have a single employee that knows the product well and is a good teacher. Their one employee is good with kids (and adults).
They aren't open late, which is good if you are trying to maintain the idea that your kids go to school or do homework, instead of just playing warhammer all day every day. I think that's responsible.
Good air conditioning in the summer. They don't mind if you want to show up and paint. The employee is very chill, in my opinion, which makes for a good painting atmosphere.
They do not stock the complete GW product line (and not reasonable to expect they would). They have a computer in the back where you can order GW that isn't in store, and they offer free shipping for in-store pick up.
Gaming space-wise, they have enough space for maybe 5 games of combat patrol or kill team games, but no more than 2 full size games of 40k or age of sigmar. There's no table reservation or table rental cost.
The store maintains a facebook group, which is the best place to see the store's schedule updates, because, again, they have just the one employee, so if his kids are sick, the store might not be open and their employee is good about updating the facebook group with schedule updates.
This store is a good part of the...
Read moreI wanted to love this place. I love everything Warhammer but I wont come to this store anymore. I've come to this store many times to make my purchases instead of amazon(much cheaper) to support the owner and to possibly get some instore goodies. There is no reason to purchase from this store otherwise. Games workshop doesn't even let the store sell all Heroes & Lords, opting you to use their purchase portal to purchase them online...
I've never been offered a freebie, but have seen others receive them which seemed to be his friends... Coming here many many times I've never received a Miniature of the month, but was able to at other GW locations out of state easily. The paint discount instore was "forgotten" during my purchase until brought up twice.
Never played Sigmar, I wanted to try it, bought a few boxes. When asking about "Learn to play" days I've never herd such reluctance. I guess I'll practice by myself. Bought Da Red Gobbo, asked about the Gobbo events. Never mentions a painting contest, never received any stamps in book.
Maybe its GWs fault, but I have a much better experience at other Warhammer stores in...
