Trader Joe's is just awesome for what they are! What they are not is an everything supermarket (like whole foods) they carry specific items. They do have a wide variety and most things a person would need. On the other hand, per item, there are not many choices. If you are looking to make an international dish, you might not find everything you need here. TJs has great branded items that you will not get anywhere else. Some are quirky and some make perfect sense. Their frozen prepared foods are awesome. Prices are great and allegedly they are just as careful about additives, GMO, etc. As Whole Foods. Unlike many people, I don't consider TJs and WF to be competitors to be compared. They both have their strong points and are great at what they do. My favorite items: frozen baby brussel sprouts (99 cents/bag!) Great for roasting; elota(mexican street corn) flavored corn chips; ghost pepper potato chips; garlic flavored olive oil (a must have); any of their frozen gnocchi; almond, cashew, and dark...
Read moreLove this store, I’m there at least 3 times a week. However, as much as I love and respect the company’s culture, I do believe that customers should come first, within reason, like prioritising service at checkout when lines are backing up to the aisles, instead of certain cashiers having a lengthy personal chat with customers and sipping coffee during said conversation. I was third in line at checkout and every customer in front of me, then myself, had to move to another line, because the young lady at checkout was having so much fun and taking her sweet sweet time chatting as if she was on a date. Totally unacceptable. Store manager said they give their team members training and instructions and freedom to do their jobs the way they feel comfortable. Well, how about offering same courtesy to your...
Read moreGreat place!!! Nuff said. That was before. This evening I went here and was very dissatisfied with the lady at the cashier. She was not friendly at all! Didn't say hello. And was very stern about the blue line. She said hello to the lady before me but no hello for me and my wife. And was singing with the older lady bagger. I said hello and then she said hello. I said,( that wasn't so hard.) Then not only did she put my bananas under the heavy food, she also told the bag lady ( oh this gentleman named bill, make sure we say hello to him ) I know why she said that and It wasn't very nice. A hello goes along way. Singing while taking care of customers isn't a really good look for you guys. Dissapointed yes, but I'll keep coming in. I'll just make sure not to...
