Just left Old Navy with my three kids: 4 yrs, 8 yrs, and 17 yrs old. One of the store associates was the rudest I’ve ever encountered. She unpleasantly expressed that I should control my children. I was so humiliated as she openly scolded me to “control my kids” while other customers were right behind me waiting to check out.
This is how it went down:
My kids were nearby, waiting for me to finish checking out. My 17 yr old was tending to the 4 and 8 yr old. As I was just about to pull my card out of the reader, a female associate (not the cashier) felt the need to walk up and tell me in an unpleasant demeanor in front of other associates and customers how I should control my children. Her excuse was “there are sharp objects around and other customers.” It’s 11:20 AM, not that busy, and why the hell would there be sharp objects just lying around. I was so taken aback by her rudeness and utter disrespect, I didn’t even know what to say to her. Like who does that?! They weren’t knocking things down, climbing on displays, or messing up any merchandise. My kids were not encroaching on anyone’s personal space. They were playing with each other off to the side and out of the way. I’m tough on my kids so if they were legitimately being bad, I would have said something. I also know what is acceptable age appropriate behavior. They were being happy kids. She could’ve handled this better or she could have had patience and waited one minute later and the transaction would have been completed. If you are not equipped to handle customer service especially one geared towards family, you do not need to be there. As many people know, how difficult it can be at times to go shopping with children especially with only one parent. Whatever happened to general patience, understanding, and respect? This was clearly absent during...
Read moreCompletely dissatisfied with a recent return experience I had at at this location because of the unprofessional and rude behavior exhibited by a manager named Kathryn during this process.
I visited the store to return four items, three of which had their original tags attached. The fourth item, however, did not have a tag because a previous customer service representative had manually entered the tag number into the system, as the item was missing a tag when I initially purchased it.
Despite my explanation, Kathryn questioned me about whether the item without the tag had been worn, citing a scent on the item that suggested it might have been used. I repeatedly assured her that the item had not been worn and that the missing tag was noted at the time of purchase. Nonetheless, she insisted that it was store policy to smell items to determine if they had been worn, which I found to be both invasive and unprofessional. This was even after explaining the items were only returned because they were purchased full priced, and then reordered online because of a 50% off sale.
I understand and respect store policies, but the manner in which Kathryn handled the situation was completely unacceptable. Her approach was not only unprofessional but also made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a customer. I have always had positive experiences with Old Navy until this incident, and I am disappointed by the treatment I received.
I would suggest that Kathryn be provided with the necessary training to handle such situations more appropriately in the future, however she was also adamant that she was trained by her general manager to smell return items, so apparently the company feels this is...

I recently had an outstanding experience at the Old Navy store in Hiram, GA, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the manager, Sea. I called the store in a rush, needing to find a specific type of shoe for my daughter for an upcoming wedding. Sea went above and beyond to assist me.
Upon learning that I would be at the store in about 20 minutes, Sea took the initiative to select several pairs of shoes and have them ready at the front counter for my arrival. When I got there, she personally went over the options with me, ensuring I found exactly what I needed.
Sea's proactive approach, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. She transformed a potentially stressful situation into a seamless and pleasant shopping experience.
I hope this review reaches Old Navy's higher management, as it is important they recognize the valuable employee they have in Sea. Her dedication and exceptional service not only reflect well on her but also enhance the overall reputation of Old Navy. Thank you, Sea, for your...
