JoAnn is an absolute gem, not solely for her skills in her profession as a makeup artist, but also as a spirit in itself. She was very accommodating and flexible leading up to the wedding date, and I am still in awe of the look that came together and the journey it was to get there. It felt fated.

I reached out to JoAnn initially in search of a hair stylist for my wedding day, for I thought that I had already settled on a makeup artist. My best friend thankfully was able to join for the hair trial with JoAnn (post makeup trial elsewhere; trials scheduled same day). While sitting under the dryer, my best friend and I chatted, ultimately recognizing that we thought I could do slightly more “wow” makeup for a wedding day. We agreed that the makeup done elsewhere was good, but a bit too everyday of a look.

It became a no brainer to tie in a makeup trial with JoAnn. When she returned to check on me under the dryer, I expressed my thoughts on the makeup. She was able to candidly opine and give a sample taste of a pivoted vision right then and there about enhancing a look for more pop yet still remaining natural. I knew I was in good hands and based upon our general conversation during the hair trial, I trusted what would be the outcome.

We set up a separate full on makeup trial with a fresh face to get the full vision and all I will say is that, it is one thing to know in the room together (you with the stylist), and another when the votes randomly come in off the street. I had further conviction that JoAnn was the one for the wedding day!

Let me start by saying - JoAnn is an absolute dream. Being an Aussie booking a wedding in NYC, I had no idea where to start finding a hair stylist and make-up artist. I had booked someone else on recommendation but loved JoAnn so much (based on her website) that I begged her to take me on last minute, and miraculously, she did (I've no idea how I was so lucky, as her celebrity clientele and editorial bookings must keep her busy!). As soon as I spoke with her, she understood EXACTLY the look I was going for, which was less of an overdone "bridey" look, and more of a natural, editorial feel. She immediately emailed me pics of her clients (celebrity and brides) that she had done in a similar style, which straight away confirmed to me that she got it - she totally got it. On the day, she was truly the best. She is an absolute pro- using the best possible products, working with all hair types, and happy to accomodate anything. She even kindly "did" the flower girls make-up (i.e., powder and lip gloss to avoid a flower girl meltdown about being left out) - free of charge, as she could see how much it was going to mean to the little girl. On top of how wonderful she was at her job, she is also a legend to have around you on your wedding day. She keeps things light, breezy, funny, energetic, and most importantly - real! Where do I begin!!!! If I could give more stars I absolutely would. JoAnn Solomon and her team exceeded my expectations and I am very particular.

Not only did I look beautiful but I felt beautiful. I don't typically wear makeup so I was clueless as to the look I wanted. I entrusted JoAnn to work her magic and she transformed me. Her hairstylist was amazing!!! Everything was top tier! My friends and family gave me so many compliments.

Enough about me... My daughter, the bride, was absolutely gorgeous. She was clear about how she wanted to look and JoAnn did not disappoint! The entire bridal party was gorgeous thanks to JoAnn and her glam squad. Everyone said how beautiful we all looked. No one left the bridal suite until they were blessed by the talents of the glam team.

They were punctual, knowledgeable and oh so personable. What impressed me the most is that they listened. It's obvious that they take pride in their work and it shows. I highly recommend them for all of your glam needs. I chose the Mother of the Bride Platinum Hair and Makeup Package and it was worth every penny. They are the best at what they do. They tailor their team to meet your needs. I promise you will not be disappointed. I cannot and will not stop singing their praises!!!!
