Really disappointed in my experience with this location.
I recently made a purchase online with lululemon and unfortunately had to return every single item because the quality is just not there anymore. On two of the pairs of leggings I got, the seams were coming undone while the tags were still on. I kept the last pair because they looked great, and I was excited about the color. After one wash, I noticed that the seams by the ankles already started to pull. For this price point, that is unacceptable.
Iāve been loyal to lululemon for about a decade now - I havenāt purchased workout leggings from any other brand, and probably buy about 4-5 pairs a year. Prior to 2022, all of my leggings have lasted many years without and major damage. As you can imagine, having 3 pairs of leggings with issues within one month is going to be frustrating.
On top of that, I received a pair of black align leggings as a gift earlier this year and once again, the seam is completely coming undone. The person at this store claimed the pants were purchased in 2018, which just isnāt true. As anyone with aligns would know, these pants pill like crazy. Aligns just donāt last 5 years. These look and feel brand new. Because of this, there was nothing the person was willing to do except allow me to ārecycleā pants and get $10 in a coupon. Turns out my boyfriend got these for me at an outlet store, where he paid full price for them. If outlet items arenāt eligible for returns, I understand that, but charging full price for pants you canāt return or get any help with when thereās a quality and performance issue is insane.
The entire time the person was giving me an attitude and not believing that the pants I bought last month were new. She said they donāt sell that color anymore, even though the espresso color is still on the mannequin next to the register. Finally she offered a replacement, no refund, and magically found a pair in the store.
I also mentioned that the issue with the seams is a common issue now, mentioning that itās the reason why I returned everything from the purchase I made last month. I mentioned that Iāve been seeing a lot of comments online from people saying theyāre having the same issue. Instead of accepting that feedback, she rolled her eyes and said ālululemon isnāt responsible for whatās said online about our productsā. Not only did this response not make any sense, it was just flat out rude. Iāve never had this experience at a lululemon store before. In the past, if something was wrong, employees would try to make it right by offering repairs and actually listening to customers. Nothing I was saying was personal about her, yet she still tried to make it seem like I was a burden to her.
Once again, Iāve only shopped at lululemon for many years. Iāve vouched for this brand and told all my friends to splurge here. Iāve been annoyed with the recent drop in quality, but my experience in this store today was the final straw. After this experience, I walked right across the street and made my first ever purchase at Athleta. Iāll be experimenting with other brands in the coming months, but I will never give lululemon another penny again.

Anyway, he was able to assist us was flying colors:) he made suggestions on different styles that would look good on us and make us feel good. Everything worked out perfectly, we bought everything he suggested for us even the random colors and different patterns he picked out! I honestly couldnāt believe how helpful and knowledgeable he was, I had never been assisted by a Lululemon associate who knew so much about the quality of their product. Extremely satisfying:) He even reminded us that they have an off sight tailor witching the company who knows how to hem or repair any pair of leggings that we needed to get hemmed or repaired. Iāve been going to them for that service ever since. It also seemed like he brought so much high moral into the store it made me want to stay longer. He connected so well with the other associates working there and as well as the other clients coming in. He has such a great memory as well! I came in about 2 or 3 weeks later to pick up some leggings for my mother that she got hemmed. By the way they came out perfect. Colin remembered form the last time i came in that I was looking for the flared leggings and he let me know that their location just got a new shipment of themš and of course I got them and they were better than the ones I was looking for, softer material and high wasted.ā ā

Let me explain: First off, Iāve been in apparel retail for 15+ years and Iām sensitive to bad service, especially at a premium brand like Lululemon. I really wanted to splurge when I was on a vacation in Miami but every employee there was cold and unwilling to answer my basic questions. After reading about the service at American Dream (Sparknotes: Theyāre not nice), I decided to risk the hassle of parking in Hoboken - and and I was rewarded.
When I first walked in, I was met with enthusiasm and kindness and not a single issue while I made a return. Kudos to the trainer and trainee working at the register - trainer was patient, knowledgeable and trainee seemed to be learning quickly and doing a great job at making sure I was happy.
Then, to find leggings that did fit me, the manager (?) gave me her undivided attention to find the perfect fit, even though it was closing time. Above and beyond, I am super excited with my purchase and the experience here.
