I'm going to start off by saying that I have continuously contacted the company and they have not reached out to discuss the problems for such a horrible experience. I've never seen such poor customer service from a restaurants corporate office. Obviously, the customer is not important to Bluestone Lane and they do not care about the issues in their Hoboken location.
I had the BL Burrito with a side of bacon and my partner had an Athletes Burrito. Both were flavorless and missing so many ingredients. My partners burrito was missing her avocado and feta. It also was so flavorless that she found it unappetizing. I don't blame her. My burrito was also lackluster in flavor. I've had better breakfast burritos from Taco Bell than Bluestone Lane. That's a sad thing to realize. My burrito was missing feta and all around happiness. The bacon tasted like a no-frills bacon and was undercooked and unexciting. How does bacon become such a displeasure to someone? Bacon is supposed to give someone that "joy" when eating it. Not a feeling of depression. I basically felt like I was eating some eggs in a flour tortilla. Mine also lacked enough avocado to even feel like it existed within my burrito.
We were told that they only had two cooks working in the kitchen. This doesn't excuse the lack of flavor, the size of the burrito, and the missing items in the burrito. For the price you pay for these burritos, it's not even worth the trip to Bluestone Lane.
I did complain to the manager and was given the two meals for free. But the waste of our time and sadness doesn't compare to the free food we received, because of their incompetency as a restaurant. The server was very polite and helpful and we appreciated his help in overcoming this disaster of a lunch.
I would defiantly avoid this place if you're looking for flavor in your food. You won't find it at Bluestone Lane. You'll only find...
Read moreI’m so sad to be saying this because this was my favorite coffee shop in Hoboken. I have lived in Hoboken for four years and have come here weekly, but I recently had the worst experience. I brought some friends on 9/6 for my birthday and we sat down at around 11:15. Everything was fine until the time started passing, and still not food (it was 4 of us so I thought that was just why). Then it hit 12:00 and I was getting a little confused. Finally 2 of our orders were brought out, but when the third came out it was the wrong order. I explained that and the waiter acted as though I did order this meal. I said no I ordered an athletes burrito not a chicken avocado sandwich. So he then went back to fix it. After another 20 minutes mine and my remaining friend’s order came out. With the mix up and time it took I was expecting at least an apology and received none. Then another waiter came over to bring our check he said “don’t worry I’ll take the chicken sandwich off your bill” as if he was doing us a favor. I said well yes no one at this table ordered a chicken sandwich( I’m a vegetarian so I know I didn’t order that). And again he just starred at me, STILL no apology for anything. It took two hours for a simple breakfast and coffee and my friend missed her train home in the mix of it. I was so embarrassed and told them no to worry my birthday next year would be at...
Read moreThe one star goes out to the avacado toast. It was in fact very yummy. But the rest of my experience this morning was why there aren't any more stars. I went to have breakfast with myself and was seated immediately. Then was ignored while the hosts/wait staff seated multiple tables and started taking those tables orders without taking mine (I was not being distracted on my phone and just forgetting to order). While I was waiting I was watching some wait staff kind of stand around or bumping into each other. Not sure if the amount of tables and how they are set up is the best use of the space with the amount of wait staff that was working that day. The menu should have the descriptions that they have online. I had never heard of magic, piccolo....) and Had to look up most of the different styles of coffee they had listed. I ended up going with a long black and avocado toast. I had never had a long black but it came with a small glass of sparkling water that was cracked. I told the waiter about the glass and he went to replace it but replaced it empty.....The manager was nice enough to discount my drink. What I wish was more advertised was that this place is a credit card/debit card payment only place. The waiter said there was a sign on the door meanwhile the door was open so that only if you approached from the left would you...
