Our experience with A Paradise Rentals was extremely disappointing. The company was not responsive or sensitive to our needs. We mistakenly did not register our small grand dogs who came with our daughter and son-in-law. The visit was impromptu and supposed to be short; however, our daughter had an accident and had surgery at Blake Hospital. Our son in law ruptured three vertebrae and was in too much pain to drive their RV home. Dogs barked one morning and neighbors complained. We apologized to neighbors and felt we were forgiven. Management scolded us but didn’t tell us there would be a $500 charge for a couple of hours of annoyance. We were charged the day we left. We would happily pay the dog fee but $500 was totally unreasonable. I might add we put up with neighbors dogs barking day and night from 3 different houses near us. The kitchen had abundant pots, pans and skillets, unorganized cabinets, no working blender or storage containers. The towels were tattered, thin and holey. Bedspread had a three cornered tear. Patio furniture was in poor condition, rickety and dirty. The old plastic chairs had slits that pinched peoples’ butts, 2 broken lounge chairs, 1 lounge couldn’t be used because the fabric was ripped.  We complained and were told it would be replaced. But they were not. WORST OF ALL were the spiders that hang high on the lanai frame. These spiders fell down on guests and furniture.  Filthy windows in the sunroom. We had to clean inside and out in order to see the sun! Bicycles were too old to ride safely. One had a bald tire which we repaired.
We are repeat renters on AMI and have always had excellent experience. Previous year we left two weeks early due toCovid. The previous rental agency gave us credit without a hassle.  Be warned A Paradise Vacation is not a company to deal...
Read moreWe checked out on Saturday. They were all very nice. We lost a key and they were awesome about it. Today we were charged an additional $500 for having a dog. We had no dog. We did have a piece of black coral that the kids left on the balcony. They had also broken off a piece and apparently a piece was left on the bedroom floor. However, I hate to say this or even think it, but I am pretty sure that additional piece in the bedroom was NOT there when we left. Anyway, They told us they had pics of the dog on our balcony. All they sent when we requested the pics were pics of the coral. $500 coral. As you can imagine, with a bunch of kids, it was only in the condo because they thought it was hilarious that it looked like doggie doo. Think twice before renting. I would have expected a little better investigation before charging this to someone's credit card. I will happily share the coral pics with anyone who would like. Maybe a coral expert could help us out? Lol.
UPDATE. This pic In the bedroom that I didn't think was there when we left is the EXACT SAME PIECE OF CORAL that was on the balcony. Very evident when the pics are magnified. At this point, I have to consider this a scam. Although I hate to think that of anyone.
I was able to upload the pics. Please zoom in. You will easily see that it is the same piece of coral in both pics, just flipped. Also, is this a piece of coral or a sea sponge? Not really sure. I do know that it is not Doggie Poo and we wont be...
Read moreOur stay at Pelican Cove 5, managed by A Paradise Vacation Rentals and Real Estate, was significantly marred by numerous issues. Despite being advertised as having a functional washer and dryer, the washer was inoperable throughout our stay. The washer was deemed irreparable, and the replacement provided was also defective, adding to our frustration.
Key issues included:
Inoperable washer, with failed repair and replacement attempts over 13 days. Unclean bedding and bathrooms, with dust and debris under beds and on toilet bases. Safety concerns due to a malfunctioning smoke detector. Inadequate air circulation in the bedrooms.
The rental agreement promised expedited repairs, but the delays and provision of a defective replacement washer did not align with this commitment. Despite our efforts to resolve these concerns with the management team, their response was unsatisfactory, and our request for a partial refund was ignored.
While the location of the property was ideal, these significant maintenance failures and lack of effective customer service overshadowed any positives. Communication with the management team proved futile, as they demonstrated no ethics or commitment to customer satisfaction.
Potential renters should be aware of these issues and be fully ready for...
