unfortunately it maybe time to switch carriers, perhaps give at&t a try. had a verizon plan which suited me for close to ten years now. would pay $150 for a new verizon android, whenever something went wrong which is happening more frequently. the last time associates at the store could find no reason why it abruptly quit working after little more than three months. came time for my routine over the phone monthly pay, but the voice prompter was different, and more importantly the monthly bill was drastically higher. after calling to speak with a representative..I was informed that my service and plan had been changed, and locked into a contract, stating that if I go back to my original non-contract plan it could adversely affect my credit. this was done without my knowledge/consent, when I simply stopped down there for troubleshooting, and/or new phone..meanwhile still have the same phone with the same exact features which are basic, so naturally am not pleased. ultimately i paid for another device, paid a hiked bill, and a few non-descript fees associated with postpaid before being able to undo that. also had to pay to go back on my original prepaid plan, all within 1month. after this, they did not connect me to my previous plan, but instead one that kept running out of data.. Additionally when i took my relatively new, not cheap verizon phone to transfer service. it was going smoothly as simply transferring the sim card. but the tech got a pop up which blocked the new carrier, stating i had to call verizon. immediately came to this verizon store, and after looking up my account was told he couldn't see what the problem was. left and proceeded to call customer service, however they were closed. did so the following day, and was told verbal permission from them was needed. told the rep i need to switch carriers, please unblock my device from making the transaction. his response was why? after explaining, also telling him i'd like to keep the same number i've had for years, he replied no worries, nothing will change. returned to the company to which i was transferring, we learned the verizon representative had in fact, gone through the trouble of making sure my phone number was no...
Read moreDo not purchase anything from this store. I purchased 6-8 devices. They were all to be free with a 2 year contract ( they were running a promo on-line) Josh.staley was going to speak to him manager to see if they could honor free Iphons7. If his manager approved it, Josh would drop the devices off at my office. Later that day Josh dropped the phones off at my office. He made sure they all had sim cards and All I had to do is provide him what telephone numbers I was porting over. I didn't realize since the phones has a sim card and a phone number We were billed. for service that was not with Verizon. He did not honnor the free phones and put all of the devices in a 2 year contract. We also purchased VOIP phones. He was not to order them until another department is involved (5g Store). The VOIP phones were shipped to my office. Josh and Travis came to my office to get them up and running. My business number transferred to verizon 9-28-19. I had to pay for the entire month even though my phone was with comcast. Now they will not return my call or answer any emails. I have the 5g store call me about making sure my phones were set up correctly. They tried to call Josh to see how my phones were to be set up. Josh would not respond to them either. I have to call tier 2 daily for issues I keep having.
When I called customer service about the charges for the devices. They told me I need to speak to my rep at the store. Well he will not respond to me or my boss. The 5g store also tried to contact my Verizon rep. He had no luck. The 5g team was very surprised that the waterfront acted this was
This has been the worst experience. I will never go to the verizon store in the waterfront Pittsburgh, PA .
Edit. I was asked to send my contact information to Verizon. I did 2 weeks ago. I have not heard from anyone...
Read moreThis place does not deserve to be a corporate store. I went in to get help with my new cell phone from the verizon asurion claim. I only needed the new sim card active on my already existing account. They then tried to upcharge and sell me everything under the sun. Even an Xbox series X when I already have 1. Then went on to PS5. Then home WIFI pushing so hard like come on its free leave today no charge to you. I told them didn't need it. As well as I'm sorry just need my phone to work right as I'm working. Now this is in the water front and I have a 20 foot roll back tow truck in front of the store taking up the road. They clearly see this. Then try and sell me home device protection. I don't need it and never signed any paper work. I get a random text saying thank you for enrolling when I never did so I logged into account and I'm do aggravated as my phone plan was changed. All my multi device protection and some how even hone device protection that cost an extra $25 a month. I've never been so mad at verizon in my life. I'll be finding out this guy's name tomorrow asap. I'll update this with it. He needs fired. Not talked to not a warning straight fired. As well as this was 1st thing when they opened. The manager can be heard telling a select few the run down in the corner of store. We need to be selling 2 airpods a day no matter what just as long as 2 airpods a day leave the store. So be warned they force sell you and guilt trip you. O I almost forgot the sign up for are verizon credit card. All this just to get a new sim card put...
