Eeewwww. Big eeewwww factor. The place was designed to be elegant and grand but the lack of cleanliness that is the only thing to greet you on entering blows that atmosphere right out of the water.
The entrance rug needed to be swept - badly - noticably. We were seated at a table (booth near the entrance) that had nothing on it except salt and pepper shakers and a rolled up straw wrapper. To top it off, I had to brush a lot (really, a whole bunch) of crumbs from the bench seat before sitting down. If I noticed these things, why didn't any of the staff notice? Or did they notice and just not care? I'm honestly not an overly picky person but I was really creeped out before we even got a menu. I found myself pleased at my decision to use the restroom at the movie theater before we walked across the street to the restaurant. I can only imagine that I would have been even more displeased about the lack of cleanliness had I needed to go to the bathroom here.
My friend really wanted to eat here,so I put up with what would have normally taken me right back out the door. I ordered just a bowl of soup for my entree and feigned that I wasn't hungry. The soup (lobster bisque) was okay though had cooked a bit too long as it was a tiny bit curdled. That was honestly fine with me. Longer cooking time means more time to kill germs.
I was given a soup spoon with my meal but my friend had to ask for silverware to eat his chicken marsala. He said it was good but please understand that this particular friend likes microwaved hot dogs. I did not taste it, but can accurately describe what I saw. It looked like microwaved chicken breast pieces topped with a rusty brown sauce with a bunch of canned mushrooms in it. Seriously, there was no "browned" visible on the chicken. Just a yellow gray color that could have been achieved by microwaving, steaming, or boiling. And the dark color and thickness of the sauce were not what I would except of a marsala sauce. I would not have eaten it. My friend's green beans looked very fresh and correctly cooked. He commented that they were really good.
To top off the experience, we also had a customer standing near our booth at the end of the isle yelling a conversation to a waitstaff member who was at the other end of the isle getting said customer a to-go beverage. This went on for a good 90 seconds. The customer seemed very familiar with staff, so it was my impression she was an off-duty staff member herself. Evidently, there was either no manager on duty or management didn't care that there was such disturbance in their dining room. It was genuinely insulting to any paying customer.
I can cut some breaks to the hospitality industry of late having lost so much over the pandemic, but this place was so over the top a bad experience that there's no way in hell I'd give it...
Read moreOrdered the eggplant Parmesan and my initial request was that they allow the eggplant to sit so The grease will drain out. I have had experiences with the eggplant comes out greasy so I requested in advance to avoid it from being greasy and mushy. The young lady Savannah even suggested that I get the marinara sauce on the side. I thought that was an excellent idea and Guess what? Yes, it came out very greasy. I showed the young lady Savannah, (who was very pleasant) as well the Supervisor. They both witnessed and I explained to the supervisor after showing him the excessive amount of grease that was seeping from the eggplant, that I was willing to wait however long it would take to make sure that the grease drained from the eggplant they sent the eggplant out a second time mushy and greasy. I told the young lady Savannah that I would just pay for the noodles. She told me that she would have the entire bill removed and how sorry she was. 10 minutes later she comes out and tells me she talked to her manager and he’s not willing to take care of the whole bill and that they will charge me $10 for noodles and marinara sauce that I was not going to use because I did not get the eggplant. So at that point she asked me was I going to take anything home? I said no she grabbed my food and told me she will remove the whole bill. Of course I was very upset because I had been sitting there for an hour+ waiting for them to get my meal correct I left my job at 3:30 to go eat at the waterfront Bravo, and it is now 5 PM and all I had was a few forks of pasta. Oh and did I add that I ordered a salad when I first got there and it could fit in the palm of my hand for eight dollars? Unbelievable first of all I don’t feel like he should’ve sent the young lady out. He should’ve come back out himself and apologized for the food being brought out of the kitchen, greasy after being sent back already. I used to go to bravo all the time when I think the supervisor was Ted but it’s been a long time so I wanted to go. I purchased some gift cards. I will not be going back to bravo on the waterfront. I will give another location a try and if they are able to give me a better experience I’ll let you guys know cause I’ll definitely be back to share that experience as well. And the fact that my expectation was not bad food and bad managerial service I forgot to...
Read moreReserved a table on Christmas as we were in town for the Steelers game all the way from Lafayette, IN. Had good reviews so I was excited. What a complete disappointment! The hostess was amazing! Took a while for our server to come to our table to get our drink order and even longer to return with them. Not sure but I think the manager brought out our fried ravioli mozz appetizer, they were hot fresh and good. A girl other than our server brought my soup and my husband’s salad. At this time both our drinks were empty and since she wasn’t our server I didn’t ask for refills as I figured our server would be back soon…not the case. A different server gave us our food and left, still no refill. I feel like the portions are pathetic considering the price. I the pasta woozi and my daughter the Alfredo, the noodles were very chewy and seemed undercooked. My husband had lasagna he said it was good but again very skimpy for $20. My son had a pepperoni pizza and he said it was good at least. I literally had 2 bites of food left, as did my husband and our server finally came to the table to ask how everything was and finally if we needed another tea. I asked that she bring boxes for my kids food to save her a trip. She brought them and I figured she would bring the check since clearly we were done, but nope. I waited for a bit and she did bring it, at which time I told her just to take our card, honestly who knows when she would’ve came back if I didn’t. Our food was not worth $117 at all. I used to be a server and my husband says I’m a little bit of an over tipper as my normal tip for great service is 35%. Even if I have less than mediocre service I usually still leave 20%. Since our server came to our table 3 times during our meal, once to only bring the check, I left $10 which honestly wasn’t deserved, as well as a note explaining why. The only thing nice was the hostess and the atmosphere, and I will honestly never eat at another Bravo again. I get more bang for my buck at Olive Garden and I’ve always had exceptional service there. I will literally...
