Aloha! I had been pretty much sedentary since January due to a severe E bike accident over 10 months. Prior that I was doing intense lagree 4 times a week, and hiking Coco head, but I knew that I needed to stretch and do more mobility. I could just feel it in my body. I'm so glad that this was offered. This is exactly what I needed. It's very challenging. I thought I'd be bored after strong my history with fitness and movement, pilates etc, but the class is very very challenging, but not too much. He has us do movements that I would never do on my own. I love the group support. I love the vibe of the studio and the teachers are very knowledgeable, i am so happy that my shoulder is still healing! They help me to modify, so i feel safe during this healing journey, and the stretching is fantastic as well next-door! They make a great baby to really help you open parts of the body, that most exercise enthusiast ignore & need. Well at least most that I know, (wink!) I'm glad they're offering the KƩpuna class for the older generation, wonderful class/combo with stretch lab is amazing ! So generous and they should KNOW they are saving many many the ramifications of a fall for the older generation this class is so valuable so precious, what they're doing is preserving and honoring and serving the community to a sector of people and cherishing them / keeping us all fit, strong, stable so we can extend love and life to our famlies and recreation in our own life !    Read moreI've found my gym family! I love the small group training environment from the coaches to the members. I came to BFT looking for a more strength focused program and a programming that doesn't lead to overtraining. At first I was skeptical, but I started off with attending classes 3 days a week and then working up to 6 days a week and I don't feel like I'm overtraining. The classes don't feel random like other group fitness classes and there's a purpose to attending each class. Trust the process! My favorite classes are the strength focused classes, but I power through the cardio classes with the help of my workout partner for the day. A lot of workouts are partner based so be ready to make new friends!
I appreciate the feedback from the coaches correcting my form or suggesting small tweaks to make the exercises more effective. They're there to support and push you and not just be cheerleaders. Also, the Evolt 360 body scanner is a must if you're a numbers person like me and want to track your fat loss and muscle gains.
