My husband and I are sooooo elated we chose House of Diamonds for our wedding bands! We worked with Lorah and there truly is not enough words to thank her for all she has done for us! She is so attentive to detail and communicates very well. She really knows her stuff and explains the nitty gritty of the diamonds you are choosing. But besides all the technical "diamond talk," the one thing I truly appreciated was how much she genuinely cared about me and my husband. She wanted to hear about our love story, and wanted to help me find a ring that matched my current engagement band, my lifestyle and accommodate my personal preferences. My engagement ring is not from HoD, but she helped me find a wedding band that would make my current diamond sparkle even more! During the time I was looking for a wedding band my husband (then fiance) was in Oregon for military purposes; in a time where I felt "alone," Lorah constantly reminded/reassured me that I wasn't alone. I asked for her honest opinions on the rings I was trying on, and she gave them. She gave me the pros and didn't sugar coat the cons. The ring I chose was the ring she envisioned I would choose. Even though my husband was in Oregon, she was so kind to reach out to him to get an engraving on my wedding band and made him feel part of the process. We sent him pictures of the wedding bands I was thinking of, and couple options for him. She also accommodated our short timeline; he arrived 5 days before our wedding day and he was able to have the experience of choosing his own wedding band. She's so good....We still keep in touch! We seen her after our wedding day and we continue to see her for ring cleanings. We are excited to come back when we reach our milestone anniversaries to get another set of rings. If you are looking for an engagement ring, wedding band, or any special gift for someone you love, I truly recommend the House of Diamonds! You want someone who cares from the beginning to the end! Thank you soooo much Lorah for your help! We...
Read moreAlright, buckle up buttercups, because I just experienced peak adulting (aka spending a ridiculous amount of money on something ridiculously beautiful). And the MVP of this whole operation? The one, the only, the wonderfully amazing Lorah!
Let's be honest, when you're venturing into "serious sparkle" territory, it can feel a little like entering a secret society with a language you don't speak. But Lorah? She's the ultimate translator. She greeted me with a warmth that could melt glaciers and immediately put me at ease.
I was there to celebrate a major milestone with a custom-made, 3-carat heart-shaped diamond necklace. Yes, my inner Mariah was screaming, dahling!
I tried my best to articulate what my dream necklace looked like, which probably sounded something like "you know, sparkly... but also heart-y... and like, really sparkly?" Bless her patient soul, Lorah listened intently, nodding and asking all the right questions. It was like she could see the exact vision in my head, only way more glamorous.
And then... the reveal. Cue the angels singing, the slow-motion hair flip (that definitely happened in my head), and a genuine gasp. This wasn't just a necklace; it was art. The heart shape was exquisite, the diamond was blindingly brilliant, and it was perfect. I'm not a crier, but girl - I was cryingggg.
Look, dropping that kind of dough makes your wallet do a little involuntary shudder. But holding this incredible piece, knowing Lorah brought my Vision of Love to life, makes every penny feel absolutely worth it.
This isn't just a necklace; it's a memory, a celebration, and something I'll treasure forever.
So, if you're looking for someone who not only knows their diamonds but also knows how to make you feel like the most important person in the room, go see LORAH! She's a gem and she'll help you find or create something truly spectacular. My wallet is still recovering but my heart (and my neck) have never...
Read moreWe came in by chance looking for a replacement diamond to one I had that was lost by the USPS when it needed repairs. I was never good with the mode of travel the diamond was to take. Sure enough, it was lost (HA!) having never left Baltimore. It was insured, but it was a beautiful, unique piece I bought at Milano Jewelers in St. Maarten. Each time we took a cruise, I kept trying to replace it with not a lot of luck. Last cruise, we just sort of gave up.
Hubby and I came to Hawaii for a retreat/vacation. While showing him a piece at Tiffany's that was not even where I was thinking with a price, House of Diamonds popped up in Google. We took a chance at going with no appointment (make one at all possible as I'm sure it could be busy!). Upon meeting the lovely staff, we were welcomed by Daniel. From this moment on, we are just amazed at how a jewelry buying experience SHOULD be! I was honest and told him what I wanted, but really didn't know what a price was because it's always run the gamut with any place we've looked. I should also add we were looking for yellow diamonds and have never found anything other than the ring I had purchased from Milano.
We went on a Celebrity cruise years back and a young woman tried to get my husband to spend 18K on a ring I simply said I liked. I told her that was 4 cruises at least. She thought touching him and offering him liquor might soften him or his wallet.....didn't work. We selected to buy a ring in the Caribbean as I'm not much on cookie cutter jewelry, so I really was heartsick when there was no replacing it. Then there is your typical Zales/Jared experience.....let's run after the customer in the store until they buy or feel uncomfortable enough to get out of the store! This has always been our experiences, up until today.....I'm adding these experiences so you know that there...
