🎶 Not really for me, but could be fun for club-goers 🎶 I’ll be upfront — I’m not much of a club person, so this place probably just wasn’t my vibe. I only went there for my brother-inlaw’s wedding celebration. The food was average — nothing terrible, but nothing that stood out either. Service was decent, but don’t expect attentive or personalized attention; it’s more of a fast-paced, get-you-in-the-door atmosphere. The overall atmosphere was loud and crowded, which is probably exactly what some people are looking for on a night out. But if you’re after great food, great service, or a more laid-back spot, this isn’t it. If you love nightlife, loud music, and a packed crowd, you might enjoy it more than I did. Not a bad place — just depends on what you’re into.

Perfect music to keep the energy up. friendly and welcoming staff. The bartenders were nice, quick with drinks, (even when it was busy). Security was also respectful and approachable, which you don’t always get at clubs. They made everyone feel safe without killing the vibe. 10/10 come would come again

Took my friends to District for the first time and they loved it! Ambiance is much better after recent renovations, my favorite part is the new LED screens. They’ve also been bringing more artists down to perform which has been super exciting. Can’t wait to see who they’ll bring down next. :-)

SalsAmor THURSDAYS - 2022 review ⚠️ CONS: not worth it, save your money ▪️ only plays Salsa & Bachata overwhelmingly. ▪️ NO merengue🚫(as advertised)...NO chacha or cumbia ▪️ has the most OUTDATED, Repetitive, Predictable & Stale playlists...week after week, year after year! 🤦 ▪️ So-called "Latino" DJs are Obstinate, Oversensitive, Talentless & Arrogant ▪️ Super-Grimy & Sticky Dancefloors ▪️ Insufficient Air-conditioning ▪️ Filthy & Neglected Restrooms ▪️ Inept & Incompetent MGMT: fails @ supervising the 'most basic duties' listed above.

ℹ️ NOTE: be skeptical of "5 star" reviews for this establishment.

\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ / / / / / / / / / / /

🔧 MGMT: take this opportunity to make improvements & adjustments. You are missing out on customers + revenue 💰 due to what your establishment is lacking & bcz of your DJ's nasty attitude & poor decision to play only two genres of Latino music...thus alienating 💸 a chunk of other clientele 💸

🎶 DJs: keep it fresh! add variety to your music, change the order of play, create multiple playlists; without using the [same tracks + artists] over & over again.

🔻Dj Woo-Rthless 🔹Lashing out @ customers on social media & posting 5yr old complaints about you, other DJs & TheDistrict nightclub, only validates the aforementioned (talk about 🤨 lack of self awareness). 🔹 Nobody is asking you to play 'ALL' the genres of Latino music...just 4 or 5, out of the most popular ones. 🔹 Merengue, Salsa, Latino Trap, Bachata, ChaChaCha & Cumbia---are currently the most popular genres of Latino music, you cannot change reality. 🔹 Receiving [confirmation bias] from your obsequious clique & groupies is not productive 🤦 step outside your comfort zone & echo chamber. 🔹 Fact: if in 4hrs, you've UNEVENLY played less than 8 merengues songs, you have no clue of what you're doing.

👉 Instead of fabricating excuses, doing mental gymnastics, whining+attacking customers, dismissing recurring complaints & twisting yourself into a pretzel trying to come up with ridiculous analogies & absurd quips 💡 How about using that 'wasted energy' to get better @ Deejaying? & updating your tracks / playlists?

🆘 Do you need help with fresh ideas? 🔹 Create & organize a playlist, as such: 5 salsas, 3 merengues, 5 bachatas, 2 cumbias, 2 chachas...then repeat 🔁 ( How difficult is that for you? )

🔆 Remember, this is Hawaii (where the Latino community, nightclubs, restaurants, etc) are so SCARCE already—nevertheless, in a moment of pure "genius" you decided to reduce & minimize AN ENTIRE culture's pride, its traditions, arts & heritage 🤦 smh. [ It's downright disrespectful & willfully ignorant ]

\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ / / / / / / / / / / /

⚕️ Pre-PANDEMIC: I've been living in Oahu for 10+yrs—the Latino scene/music @ #TheDISTRICT nightclub was already a disgrace (by NYC standards), but now it has gotten worst. More than 2,000+ songs per genre, from different: eras, countries & versions. Yet #TheDistrict & its Deejays rarely ever update their predictable playlists 🤯 it baffles the mind.

⚕️ During covid, 2020 to 2022, approx 30+ new, of each genre 👉 salsas, merengues, bachatas, etc...were released 🎶 Have you play some of them? Nope! you have not. Instead, you play those silly "Latino" remixes (DJ Soltrix) 🤮 & the same overly-playedout playlist: songs & artists; that you were "spinning" pre-covid 🤷 sigh

\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ / / / / / / / / / / /

ℹ️ As it currently stands #SalsAmor on Thursdays @ #TheDISTRICT only offers a lame, reduced & watered-down version of Latino music & its culture...that's it.

🔺 CONCLUSION: in the best interest of everyone, I hope that this nightclub is capable of approaching these issues/complaints with an open-mind & put in the effort to expand & provide (local residents & tourists) the complex & intricate diversity of Latino music, instead of limiting & minimizing it.

The District is probably one of the worst clubs/bars I have ever been to. The only reason I’m giving this place 1 star is because they seemed to have decent security. The District was mid if anything. It is definitely not a top tier club/bar. This club has a $20 cover charge just to get in, doesn’t allow you to wear your hat inside, and the drinks they pour at their bar are in absurdly small cups (probably about 3oz of fluid total when you order a cocktail from them) for the price of what a normal sized cocktail would cost. The hat rule was annoying to say the least, and the ridiculously high cover charge was outrageous, but it was the size of the drinks that you buy once you get inside that really got to me. I’ve been to many bars in many different cities, states, and even other counties, but I have never been to a bar that pours a drink in a cup that is less than half the size of what it should be. Drinks at bars are already overpriced, but people understand that when they go out to buy drinks because that is how things work. However, I have never been to a place that rips you off so badly. I am genuinely shocked at how they get away with pouring people less-than-half drinks and I will never go to this club again. I will also highly recommend to all of my friends and family to never go there and waste their...

So to get into the nightclub you can't wear a tank top, need to have a collared shirt, and be wearing pants no shorts. Front entry told me I need just a t-shirt didn't even mention my shorts before making me walk to Wal-Mart to get a t-shirt. So I got into the bar, can't dance because I now bought the wrong kinda shirt and ain't got anything but my shorts. Pretty much if you're from a cold climate and you're trying to stay cool while dancing you can jump off a cliff. Great job not having any of that info available before I took the hour long bus ride to get here.... so to update that info is on the website but you would have to be looking to make a reservation..... other thing is easy enough to get into the front and see the back personally being from the mainland where there may be more space to have bigger clubs this one is the smallest ive ever been to both on the island and off and im from nevada xD now Lex in Reno is inside a hotel is very upscale but understands on hot days (which would quantify all days in hawaii) they are lax with their dress code at least enough so where you arent turnt out from being able to hear the music and still have a drink. Id say walk down the street or look for a real...
