I hate to do this, but they need to know. I was massaged by a slightly heavier Asian lady who didn't speak good English. She couldn't understand what I meant when I said "softer". She had good technique though so when she offered to walk on my back, I hesitantly agreed. The other lady who I assume is the owner then came in, probably after hearing my sounds when things were too hard, spoke with her a bunch in Chinese, and then switched places with her. As the heavier lady got off, she stepped on my foot, but it wasn't completely flat, and I felt my bones crunch a little. I knew something was injured but I figured it wouldn't be too bad. The owner then took over and though she didn't go as hard, she went SO fast, it was seriously unrelaxing. She also answered the phone while working so as to schedule the next customer. It's been months now, and when I wear heels, or worse, sleep on my stomach, where the foot rests on the top side, then when I get up and walk around afterwards my bones hurt in my foot. I haven't seen a doctor because I don't want to spend money on this and I hope it'll heal on its own. But Thai massage, though amazing, needs to be done by people who go slow and are careful. That's not what I got here....
Read moreMy wife and I got massages at China Thai massage during our Honolulu visit in March 2021. The appointment process was smooth, Lisa (the owner) was in touch with me via text messages following up on the timing of the appointment. I expressed concerns to her about the negative reviews I had read online, she assured me that I was going to have a wonderful experience. The massage room was clean. Lisa did an excellent massage (very strong) and was communicative during the massage to understand the amount of pressure I wanted. Shishi did the massage for my wife and from what she says, she was happy with it. Same with her, Shishi understood my wife’s requirement and did a medium pressure massage.
Both of them left in the middle of the massage for a min or two twice to attend walk in customers. I believe they were the only ones working that evening...
They appreciated a 15% tip and prefer cash, but also accept credit cards.
Overall we had a good experience and will consider going back to China thai massage on our next visit...
Read moreI took an appointment and had thought I may perhaps need a male masseuse but the lady at the other end assured me that I wouldn’t be disappointed. I was welcomed with great warmth and waited for just a minute to get to my assigned room. My masseuse name is Lisa and she did give me the best massage I have had so far. She had strong hands and worked on my key tension areas of neck and shoulders more than I could have asked for. I had an entire body massage and it was worth every dollar. An hour of relaxing, soothing, tension relieving massage and she kept asking me to RELAX. No one ever asked me to relax. Thank you Lisa, am good with absolutely no knots to break in my back. The hot stone massage was icing... it relaxed the core. I highly recommend this place for anyone at Waikiki. Cheers!!! Until we...
