I have visited most of the 7-Elevens here in Hawaii many times with normal & positive outcomes, but I visited this location for the first or second time since I moved here four years ago about two weeks ago. I was put off immediately. There was a large black male attendant cashier who was making obnoxious sounds and sighing as people entered and who was later very rude, disrespectful, and even aggressive and verbally abusive toward me for no logical or provoked reason for what should have been a routine bento meal & beverage purchase. I had to limit speech and bite my tongue multiple times during the exchange just to keep from letting him unnecessarily escalate the situation. I understand that that area is frequented by tourists, inebriated local and forgeign people, the mentally ill, homeless, and really bad homeless, but that was absolutely and totally no way to treat a normal and generally respectful customer. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a 7-Eleven. Honestly, I think he was trying to provoke my temper to cause an altercation, but I didn't take the bait. I said that I would never do business with them again and then two weeks later I see the news stories about a full on fight in the store and someone having their entire hand and side hacked off with a machete! I'M NOT SURPRISED! The night I was there as I waited across the street at the bus stop I saw a clearly very drunk middle aged white male harass multiple people in the parking until one guy walked over and punched him in the head multiple times until he crashed midway between the sidewalk and the driveway. I never once saw a staff member at least try to call 9-1-1. **THIS...
Read moreEven a single start is too much for this location. I don’t normally leave a review on Google map but it was the worst service I have ever experienced in Hawaii and they ruined my night. (I also do work in the customer industry and therefore, I’m always on their side understanding their hardwork) First cashier on the left side from me kept using other language with the other cashier while I was asking questions about a bus card, but I was like okay whatever. After I paid for my daily pass and left the store, I realized that I might need to use the card on the other days. So I came back to the store, asking if I could reload one more day pass on the same card in this time to the other cashier. And this lady gave me really annoyed look and said “yeah, you should’ve loaded $15”. And when I asked if I can pay with $20 bill since I couldn’t find 50 cents, she again gave me a dirty look. I really had to ask her “if everything is alright” just in case I did something wrong or she was feeling sick. I hope no one every goes there unless they don’t mind dirty looks...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars, I would. Parked my car at the 7-11, bought food and an energy drink. I then went to the laundromat that shares a parking lot with the 7-11, not thinking anything of not moving my car. Lo and behold, not even an hour later, my car is gone. Didn’t see it leaving, so it had to have been towed at least 5-10 minutes prior to me leaving the laundromat. Went into the store to ask, and the lady at the cash register didn’t even say anything when we asked about the car, just held up a sign with the towing company’s number and address. If towing is such a big deal, i would have expected more obvious signage than two small signs well above eye level on the far side of the entrance. I didn’t even notice them until I specifically looked around for it. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. The 7-11 and the towing company’s (vip towing) need to develop some basic humanity and stop preying on people...
