Discount Store Appliance — Local services in Honolulu

The Discount Store has the absolute worst customer service. My wife and I ordered an upright 18 cubic foot freezer for 942.36 on May 2nd, 2020, and was told that it would arrive at the end of the month. I called at the beginning of June and was told that it was delayed due to COVID, and was told it would arrive the next week. I called again in a week and was told that it would be at the end of the month. If we wanted, we could change our order to a smaller chest freezer. We sent an email inquiring about the order on July 8th and never received a response. I called on July 18th and was told that it would arrive in a week. Finally called again on July 30th and was told that it would be another week, at this time I asked for a refund. I will never conduct business at this place again. While we understand that shipments are delayed, and things can be out of the business's control, straightforward customer service to call with updates would have...

The Discount Store is a life saver. On Sunday, March 29th 2020 our Maytag gas clothes dryer died peacefully.Monday I called one of the big chain hardware stores in Honolulu that was advertising a dryer similar to ours and it was on sale. I called the store. It took several attempts over half hour to finally get someone to answer the phone.. He informed me that they did not have that item in stock and it would take six to eight weeks to get it here. In desperation I searched on line for the dryer I wanted and up popped the Discount Store website. I called. Lito Cortez answered almost immediately. He had what I needed at a very good price. We made the deal over the phone and now (4/1/20) just two days later, our brand new dryer has been delivered and installed by a friendly and knowledgeable crew of three young men. Best experience ever. Just like many other people have said, I had gone to Lowe’s and Home Depot and had terrible service topped with the fact that the delivery would be over a month later! At both places they said that there was only ONE of the floor models in stock. Then I google searched Appliances and I’m so grateful because I found this store. I needed a washer n dryer badly and when we walked in, it was supposed to close about 5 min after we got there, but the sales person took his time showing us all of our options. What’s more, we would be getting the washer dryer in only 2 days! Then comes the delivery.. the boys were very happy to provide wonderful service.
