Friendly staff and excellent customer service, providing top quality modern style European furniture at mainland prices.
They are the only official Scandinavian furniture dealer in Hawaii that provides quality flat pack furniture that some of us on Oahu are used to with the unofficially sold Ikea furniture taken to whole new level.
Although they only specialize in children’s furniture, they use the finest in materials (soft pine for most load bearing places, high quality MDF for surface areas) and fitment that will last a lifetime. Combined with the maximum recommended 9” mattress height (I used a Primo hybrid mattress), their beds can comfortably and sturdily handle an adult’s weight without any sagging or noises! This makes their beds a viable option for those needing a quality twin size bed in small bedrooms, for no matter the age!
Unlike Ikea (in general) and many other brands of furniture, all of Flexa’s design’s features: -Rounded corners -Nontoxic finishes -Hypoallergenic Oeko-Tex certified fabrics (where fabrics, such as mattresses are used) -Unheard of (long) 5 year warranty -Modular designs that offers customization that’s guaranteed for 5 years -Rigorous German TÜV SÜD safety testing and certification -Practically impossible to remove small parts, assuring children’s ingestion of such small parts a low possibility.
Having experienced Ikea’s children’s furniture in the past, the degree of customization, durability, warranty/after sales service is at a whole other level. Consider this “supercharged” / premium level Ikea. It’s hard to compare except for the fact that the only commonalities between them are that they’re both Scandinavian and they both require assembly from flat pack packaging. Even Flexa’s choice of hardware used to assemble their furniture is higher quality in some cases! The sales experience is also very different and is very personalized: hands on, no pressure approach whose staff will assist you with customization process all the way, to “tailor fit” your design needs within their catalog’s modular products. The only downside are it’s higher entry prices, but as the old saying goes: you get...
Read moreI originally planned to purchase a high bed for my early teen daughter since her dream was always to have a cozy place to read a book. Now her dream came true! The furniture is solid and nice quality. The staffs are very friendly and kind so, I ended up buying an additional daybed for the guest bedroom. Flexa's twin bed length fits on me, a 6-0' male. Even Flexa Hawaii's prices are slightly cheaper than Flexa USA website. Best of all, they kept the delivery time promise while I am still waiting for a dining table ordered 6 months ago from a high-end brand furniture shop on...
Read moreThe store front is a little small on Kapiolani Boulevard to see so you might miss this songle story store that has a drive way to the back parking area where the front of the sptre actually is. The building looks old and dated. The furniture is very good and functional for kids which is why the store has a following much like Ikea on the mainland. However, there are no discounts and the prices are high in my opinion. However, almost all furniture in Hawaii is imported which makes thing cost more. Staff is friendly and helpful and they stand by the quality of...
