JJ Union Nails — Local services in Honolulu

My future step-mother scheduled a group mani-pedi session at JJ Union Nails so all the ladies of her bridal party could get pampered before her wedding. The shop was clean, well lit, and had an overall pleasant atmosphere. I personally had Hong and Jenny as my nail technicians. Both did a fantastic job.

Jenny offered input on my designs that made them look so much better than what I'd visualized in my head. (She also went along with my sarcastic shenanigans, which earned her massive brownie points in my book.)

Hong also offered input on my nails, but was also super attentive. I had a terrible knot in my back, and he saw me squirming to get the massage chair to hit the spot. He actually made it so the chair stayed in that location to release the knot.

Nome was working on my Auntie's nails next to me, and she was also amazing. [She has an Instagram account so you can see her fantastic work as well.]

All the staff is truly talented, and the environment is just so amazingly refreshing. They act more like a family than a group of coworkers, and you can see that in how they interact with each other and their clientel. I can’t rave enough about this nail place. My fiancé and I went to Hawaii to be married. A day before our wedding I popped my already dipped thumb nail off. We had to go to Honolulu for our marriage certificate and googled places. JJ union nail came up right away and I didn’t even check the time they opened I just ran there. Poor Jenny was just starting her day when I ran in and asked if she could help me. She took me right there and then, worked her best magic to make it match which is hard when the once white nails have started to be discolored from the sun and wear. She did amazing. Did even redid the one top coat when it didn’t match enough. Shared some great stories with us and made a stressful thing very enjoyable. Plus you couldn’t beat her price to help me. She also went out of her way to help when I asked about a barber. 20 out of 10...

I've gone here for both gel pedicures and dip manicures, and I'm always impressed at how kind and thorough the staff are. I've been here about 4 times now, and I've never been disappointed. This is probably one of the best nail salons I've ever been to. The prices are very reasonable, too.
