Used to love this place probably some of the most quality boards to rent in the area. Employees are always super knowledgeable and chill. Think I might’ve met the owner for the first time today was so rude to me and my buddy couldn’t believe it I will never go back the owner is a completely unprofessional grilled us multiple times about my card on file asked us if we knew how to surf!? or if we surfed a lot. Was condescending and if he wasn’t the owner then he was probably the worst employee ever. older local kine guy. I hope it was the owner because he lost good customers I send people up here all the time. Moku and Star beach boys are closer and much better customer service. They might not have as good of boards but it’s closer more convenient and you don’t have to deal with that Unprofessional...

I recently rented a long board and a SUP board at QSH. Spoke to Christian, super helpful, no BS and to the point. Gave me the straps, an extra paddle, plus got both boards on my SUV, in and out within 15 minutes. When I returned the boards, got the bill and he charged the 2 boards and that’s it. No nickel and diming here unlike a few places I’ve been in town. Definitely will go back again.

Some of the negative reviews here are unwarranted. Christian is not rude, he’s direct and to the point. And the others got charged extra because there were sand on the boards when he specifically told me twice that if the boards got sand, he will charge extra. I washed the boards like I normally would with my SUP board back home. If you don’t take care of the board even if it’s a rental, you deserved...

We rented some boards here for a few days. they were good boards and we got good information on breaks in the area. The problem was that we got charged for a whole extra day that we didn't even use the boards. We picked up the boards in the late afternoon after the shop guy talked us into getting the boards right away instead of waiting until the next day as we had planned. Upon returning the boards less than 72 hours later I was surprised at the charge for 4 days. No amount of convincing would sway them. That's a pretty skeevy policy that they were not up front about, especially when they talked us into picking them up early. I'd recommend going with Hawaii Surfboard...
