Today I had a rare outing after a year of losing both my folks to Covid this last year. My husband and I had met my son at a restaurant in Hood River for a birthday brunch, accompanied by his newly pregnant wife. Upon entering this store, we were admiring the scents, and sharing laughs at a few of the humorous cards and refrigerator magnets. I found two really funny magnets that I snapped two pics of them to send to two close friends. Suddenly, I was approached abruptly by a nasty sounding store clerk asking me if I was there to buy something or take pictures. I was so taken aback. If I’d wanted the refrigerator magnet to enjoy daily on my fridge, or to give as a gift, I’d have bought it. I have all the refrigerator magnets I want. I was just sharing a laugh while enjoying her things. None of us could believe it. I approached the woman before leaving to let her know I was enjoying the things in her store and that occasionally when I found something funny in a store I’d share a pic with a friend. Being snapped at like that on what was a nice light hearted day definitely threw a damper on a nice family time. The woman was unwilling to backdown. I went to this store a few years ago and had a great experience but after recently going I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. The staff there have really taken a turn for the worst especially the person with the short hair they were extremely rude, unfriendly and pretentious.
