Went to Twin Peaks in Hoover with a work mate recently. We’d been in the lab for four days straight it seemed, and truly needed to unwind. We sat with an enchanting young lady named Julie who was adorably cheeky and coquettish. Her visage is rivaled only by Aphrodite herself. I had the Italian flatbread and my mate, Paul, had the Moms pot roast. Both were quite tasty and not nearly so provincial as we had feared. Paul exclusively drinks beer - and plenty of it, even more since his cat, Milo, got hold of a rat bait this Christmas Eve and suffered an excruciating final five minutes. My beverage choices are far more nuanced. I ordered a Schattenjäger, and was surprised that Julie knew what it was. I watched her (who could blame me) walk to the bar and submit my request. The bartenders were befuddled. Julie had to teach them how to prepare a Schattenjäger, aka, nectar of the gods. She returned with what can only be described as the pin ultimate rendering of this treasured delicacy. It was layered perfectly and included the moniker of excellence - a thin film of frost on the surface. What’s more, the glass was filled above the rim, but remained unspilled owing to Julie’s graceful manner and mastery of the physics of surface tension. Well, Paul kept gushing about the “mouth feel” and understated umami tones of his pot roast, but for my part, Julie will always and forever rule over the adored and rarified pantheon of truly great servers. Thank you, Julie, for reminding me that as long as there are great artists there always will be great art. Excelsior! Dr Samuel Claremont, PhD, Preternatural...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Twin Peaks, and I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the outstanding service provided by Shelby. She went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was memorable.
Despite the recent rain, Twin Peaks made the most of the beautiful weather by offering outdoor seating on their patio. The ambiance was delightful, and the atmosphere was enhanced by the addition of live music. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable evening.
From the moment we were greeted by Shelby, her friendly and attentive nature stood out. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made fantastic recommendations. Throughout our meal, Shelby was timely and prompt with her service, making sure our drinks were always filled and checking in on us to see if we needed anything else.

Read moreThis how I start my day, wake up, morning duties, work, and somehow I always end up here. Turning the corner. Searching for a parking spot while dropping a trail of pickles for the salty birds out there. Finding a parking spot as far from the building so I can savory every step l make. Weather has been nice also. Making it inside the door to be greeted by lovely ladies who always have a smile on their face and happy enough to sit you. I always recommend Hailey. Shes funny and sweet and always give good food recommendations. Also alcohol if you drink. I don't drink, cause I'm a real man.but she has your back if you do. I sit, take my sips of water as I look at the many screens showing sports. Pretending to know what these neanderthals are doing.Looking at the walls with the unique decorations while greeting every waitress that pass by cause they're all so friendly. Sometimes I spot Talia and Marie who are truly amazing. Known them for years. Very funny.Like I said before I recommend Hailey. She is a hockey fan so go easy on her. She can fight so don't tempt her. Not like I know that from experience. Always have a new favorite dish here but my recent find Quesabirra Jacos. New on their menu. Anything else to say? Raise Hell, Praise Dale, Roll Tide! Or War Eagle if you're...
