3rd Update: delivery of new power sofa was successful. Gentlemen were professional and clean. Sofa power features worked as they should so Iâm satisfied a resolve was reached.
This sofa actually feels smoother when transitioning from leg reclining to full reclining. Old sofa had a âbumpâ feel in the transition so that tells me something was wrong with it from the beginning. Ultimately, replacement ended up being the best remedy as this issue could have happened again in the future. Hopefully this power sofa was put together better and holds up.
I want to tell TellUs thank you making this happen. Iâm giving four stars, not five, because a lot of this back and forth could have been avoided.
2nd Update: TellUs rep got back to me after I replied back to their disappointing reply and proposed an alternative to get me a working power sofa much sooner than the repair service would have taken. I agreed to their proposal and hopefully Iâll have a working sofa 3 weeks sooner than the repair service availability.
Honestly, I donât like it took so much back and forth with them to get something done, but ultimately, I feel at this point theyâre going above and beyond the norm to get a customerâs situation corrected, and I hope they do something about the first Techs problem with ordering wrong parts and to actually troubleshoot the problem instead of talk, talk, talk with the customers.
Iâll leave it at one star for now, but will probably give two, maybe three more when my sofa is working. Depends how nice they are when they get here.
1st Update, after detailing my experience to TellUs: Nothing, absolutely waste of time detailing my experience so far with their service to repair my sofa, so donât anticipate results when they ask you for your experience. They want you to feel like they care, but do nothing to support their claim of caring.
Perhaps nothing you purchase from them will break. Thatâll be good, but know this, if something does, youâll have to endure weeks of waiting for them to come see the problem, order parts, wait for delivery, then wait several weeks for them to come back, and chance they ordered the wrong part, only to have to wait more.

This waiting weeks at a time for them to come out is getting old quick. Between them ordering wrong parts, waiting for parts to get delivered, then waiting for their next availability to come out is seriously unacceptable.
No telling if what they ordered this time will be the right part. First time I called them I put emphasis on concern it was the wrong part but was told they been doing that work for years and know what theyâre doing. The first tech didnât even touch the sofa to troubleshoot it.

   Read moreI am beyond frustrated with my experience with Rooms to Go and will never shop there again. The situation began when Rooms to Go arranged for the delivery of my new furniture. When the delivery crew arrived, they mentioned assembling the furniture. I explained that I hadnât purchased this service but wished I had. The delivery driver, Quincy, informed me that as part of Rooms to Go's policy, they could assemble the furniture for an additional $100. I paid the $100, and they assembled both my daughterâs bedroom furniture and the living room furniture. While sitting at the kitchen table, Quincy mentioned purchasing my old living room furniture. I specifically asked him if this would be okay, and he confirmed it was. He agreed to pay $800 for the old living room furniture. Additionally, they took my daughterâs bedroom furniture to my other home and charged me a $40 fee for that. Quincy assured me he would pay the full $800 by that Friday. This is a service that Quincy claimed was advertised by Rooms to Go, and I was under the impression that everything was in order since he was representing the company while wearing a company shirt. However, the unthinkable happenedâQuincy took my old furniture without paying for it. I was shocked and immediately asked him why no payment had been made, but he just shrugged it off. I contacted customer service immediately to clarify the situation, but thatâs when things completely fell apart. I called customer service multiple times, but each representative gave me the runaround. Every time I spoke to someone, they promised to âlook into itâ or âget back to me,â but no one ever did. Finally, I spoke with the delivery manager, who made Quincy return the $100 assembly fee to the store and made him pay me $300. They assured me I would receive the remaining $500 by the following Friday. Of course, Friday arrived, and still no payment. I called Rooms to Go again and was told Quincy had been fired. It became clear that no one at Rooms to Go cared about resolving the issue. I was essentially ignored, and every time I followed up, I received no answers, no updates, and no apology for the inconvenience or confusion. To make matters worse, Iâm still paying for the new furniture on time, but Rooms to Go has not reimbursed me for the items they took. I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of. I expect better customer service and accountability from a company I trusted. Instead, I am left out of pocket with no resolution in sight. I even went to the store and spoke with the manager Anthony in Hoover for hours, but no one has reached out to resolve the issue. I am extremely disappointed by the complete lack of professionalism and customer care. Rooms to Go has shown they do not value their customers or take responsibility for their mistakes. I was so excited that I had my Dining Room Set that I couldnât wait so I tried to get online at Rooms To Go. Because the sell price was too good to pass up. But, I couldnât finish the transaction because I needed a Sales Representative to complete my purchase and Felicia Reynolds was very knowledgeable, courteous and she made me feel very important. I had been looking for a Dining Room Set for months. I saw one on Standard Furniture and it was called the Abeco Collection and it was for sale at $1,360.00 but the chairs have no padding, as you can see in the picture below.
Next, I found the Abeco Cordovan Cherry Extendable Square Counter Dining Room Set at Home Gallery Store for the price of $1,175.00. It is the exactly the same as Standard Furniture as you can see in the picture.
However, I saved so much more money going with Rooms to Go, along with the 66 month promotion, the extended warranty, delivery which included putting it together it cost me only $1,398.95. You canât be beat and that includes 2 extra chairs.
I give my Dining Room Set 4 stars âď¸ and I get Felicia Reynolds the Sales Representative who made sure my purchase went through and I receive the 66 month promotion with no interest for the entire time 5 stars âď¸.
The only reason why, I didnât give my Dining Room 5 stars âď¸ is because one of my chairs was chipped on the side when it was delivered on Friday, July 2, 2021.
However, I talked to Darlene Lara and after she verified my identity, and my order. She told me no problem Ms. Day. We will ship you out another chair and it will be delivered on July 16, 2021. I give her 5 stars and once my chair arrives and itâs good I will change my 4 stars âď¸ rating to 5 stars âď¸ rating.
Just look and see how beautiful my Dining Room Set is. Now, itâs strong and heavy not cheap and very well made, and my chairs are padded and so comfortable to sit on. đą
