Horrible service, my wife dropped her phone and cracked the screen. The phone was less than a year old. We called around to get everyone's prices and Paul told us he was the one to trust and that he would take care of the phone. The new screen was ordered and we dropped the phone off to be repaired. He never called to communicate that the phone was ready, we had to call him or run up there. Upon picking the phone up the camera no longer worked and the SD card wouldn't read. Paul assured it was all put together properly. We took it to Verizon to check the SD and a new one wouldn't read either. Paul disassembled the phone again and said the camera was the hardest that he had ever taken apart, that something must of been damaged. He ordered a new camera and SD tray. He assembled the phone and the camera works but will not read the SD and only works while hooked to wifi. The phone worked fine before just with a cracked screen. He said that he has done all he could and it was an unforseen circumstance. Very unprofessional and amateur guy. But he'll take your money and inform you that it won't be sent overseas like the other phone repair shops in the area.

Called a couple places in town for the best price to replace a cracked screen on my Samsung Galaxy S5, and received a quote from Device Medics of $100 via phone call. Got to the store the next day, and after standing around for 10 minutes being ignored, the quoted repair price went up to $130 (I was told that the price of the screen they had to order went up in price. Yep, overnight, lol). Since I was already there, I figured I'd save myself some time and hassle and just fork out the $30 difference. Anyway, got my phone back about a week later (a couple days longer than they said it would be ready), bought a screen protector from them for $15, and the phone worked fine...until about a month later when the screen just went black, but the phone was obviously still operational because it rang, and I could hear my notifications, etc, just nothing but blackness on the screen. Even though it stands to reason that it was a glitch or issue with the new screen Device Medics had recently installed, I opted to buy a brand new phone of the same model online. While waiting for the new online purchase to arrive, I noticed that I could get the screen of the repaired phone to come on if I held downward pressure on opposite corners of the phone, so I kept it just in case I ever have some money to burn to get it fixed again, so I'd have a backup phone. A few months went by, and I happened to be in the area of Boardwalk Village, so I stopped in to have the phone they repaired looked at. The employee who had actually replaced the screen was there. He remembered me and replacing the screen, so I showed him how it was operational (screen came on) with pressure on opposite corners, but he assured me it had nothing to do with the screen, or the repair they had done (riiiiiiiiiight, mmhmm, sure it didn't...replacing a cracked screen had nothing to do with a completely new problem with the screen that wasn't there before after just a month of use...how silly of me to think so), and quoted me $160 to fix "the logic board". I asked for a break on the 2nd repair since I had already paid them $30 more than I should have to begin with, and of course the answer was "no", so I thanked him and left, but won't be back. That's not how you keep customers. If someone has already given you repair business (plus an add-on sale), at $30 more than quoted estimate, then something reallllllly similar goes wrong with the repaired device a month later, it's probably in your best business interest to work with them instead of trying to milk them a 2nd time. I will say that the repair technician and the owner were pleasant enough when I spoke to them, no problem there. The estimates just seem a bit shady (in addition to the first repair estimate going up $30 overnight, I was told that the $160 estimate to re-repair my phone was "priced for today only". Like, is this the stock market wherein prices fluctuate daily?? Seems super shady to me, but maybe there is a reason for it, who knows). Anyway, I'll go check out Spa City iRepair since their quote to repair screen was the same as what Device Medics ended up charging me after hiking it up $30. Plus, they have almost 200 great Google reviews. Toodles,...

I came in to get a gel screen protector put on my phone just because I didn't want to mess it up considering it was being put on a brand new galaxy 10s plus. So the guy working puts it on not much of a wait at all ended up being 20 dollars. I don't know how much it usually costs but I figured 20 dollars is fair considering I'm paying what I thought was suppose to be a professional to put it on. Anyway he came out and told me to let the gel dry for a day or so. After letting the screen protector dry there were two finger tip sized air bubbles on the bottom of my screen and little pin point sized air bubbles all across my screen. The employee who put it on claimed that the two at the bottom were necessary to put the screen protector on and that there was nothing he could really do about the other bubbles. Also, when trying to make a phone call after the gel had dried I noticed the call volume was almost nonexistant. So I called the store and told the employee who put the gel on about it and he told me to bring it in and he would clean it out. But surprisingly it didn't get any better, so then he told me that the phone speaker was probably defective and that I should take it in the place where I got the phone and trade it in. So taking his advice I took it to ATAT and when they looked at it they indeed found gunk blocking up my top speaker. When telling the ATAT employee that I've been having the issue after device medics put the screen protector on he told me that it was most likely the issue. So I called Device Medics and told the employee who put the screen protector on my phone that the ATAT employee found gunk in my phone and that he managed to get some out but lacked the proper tools to finish the job. So he told me to bring it in again and when doing so, STILL no luck. Desperately, I just called the device medics employee and asked what my options were and he told me I could either replace the speaker or swap out the phone with the insurance. If I were to swap the phone out I would have to pay a $100 dollar deductible and I would not be guaranteed the same phone. With this in mind I asked him if he could just put the speaker out for me. And surprisingly enough he told me I would have to pay for it because it was store policy. However don't get me wrong I was treated with nothing but the utmost respect everytime I've been to the store but I'm very dissatisfied about the quality of work and the policy of the store. Basically the policy is that if The Device Medics damage or mess up your phone they are not responsible and that is out right ridiculous. If you are giving your services to repair phones and you mess up and break or don't put something in right which leads to further damage you should take responsibility and fix it. I payed The Device Medics $20 to put a gel screen protector on my phone. In the end I got a screen protector full of air bubbles, a phone speaker I can barely hear out of and a company that won't take responsibility for what they damaged. PLEASE don't end up like me stay clear...
